Valet key/remote starter

Anybody get a remote starter installed on your car? I received a fully paid remote starter installation as a Christmas gift. I wanted to do this for my car, but it was always out of my price range. The guy who installs them said I should get a valet key for it if I don't want to discard my spare. I don't want to discard my spare, so I'm going to need to get a valet key. Anybody have details on this? How much would a valet key cost, where would I get it, etc.? Thanks in advance.

probably from dealer as they need to order a key for you.

I have a valet key that I keep in my house that I never use, but that's cool you can use that for the remote start.
