(Pics) New Wheels: VMR V702 19x9.5 - Matte Hyper Silver

First off - Thanks to Kevin at VMR for the excellent customer service and deal on these. If you're looking for an OEM+ look for your car, not sure if you will find a better wheel. Specs are 19x9.5 et45 with 4mm spacers on all corners.

Those that know my car will say these aren't a huge change from my previous wheels, (V701's), but they do have a completely different look and feel in person. Let's start with the finish - Matte Hyper Silver. This finish is pretty unique...It has a glimmer to it when the light reflects of the surface of the wheel, but the "feel" and overall look of the wheel in all lighting conditions is sort of a metallic flat silver. I really like it so far.

The design of the wheel might be my favorite part. It's clearly thicker spoked when compared to the V701. The concavity is still present, however it's less prominent as a result of the straighter spoke design. One other noticable aspect of these is the "inner lip"...if I can call it that. It's really cool how the wheels appear to have a lip when the face of the wheel is still all the way to the outside edge. That's a terrible attempt at explaining it, but you'll get the idea from the pictures.

Here are a few pics to start, I will update more on this thread once the weather clears up. Also, I'm not a photographer, so go easy on me!

Thanks, I wanted the wheels to come out and be a bit more flush. ECS had a nice sale on the spacers so I picked a set of the 4mm up. It makes a noticable difference, with zero rubbing.

Not bad at all. I haven't really liked 702s on my car, but they look great on the B8.

Any vibration issues with the 4mm spacers?

Actually, No! I was a bit gun shy to throw 'em on but I have zero vibration.

They look great. Do the spokes stick out past the rim of the wheel? I'm worried about being prone to curbage.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this, Todd!

If you trust a buddy enough to allow them to swap cars for a short distance, you should see how your car looks while driving. Then you'll REALLY understand how awesome that undercut lip is.

Wow Todd! They look amazing! Your choice of color is unique and does indeed compliment your theme. The style is superb. It reminds me of the OEM 18" Sport wheels with the same thick radial spoke design but "more better". I think this design gives off the appearance of a larger wheel too so I think your 19" look a little bigger. Just a clean, strong, OEM+ style, and they must look amazing when spinning.

Just when I think I know what aftermarket wheels I like best, another style comes along and gets me back to square one.

I'd love to see a video as well. I've seen them rolling around in person and they look great with the undercut lip. Just need to show off that feature to others at this point!
