What type of high flow cat catalytic converter, cell count, ceramic vs metallic

What type of high flow cats do you guys use on the S4?
Use 200 or 300 cell count?
Which is more durable and reliable with the heat and other things from the turbos, ceramic or metallic material?
Do you get the cats with the 5 inch round bodies like magnaflow 59959 or the oval body cats like magnaflow 53009.
If you have a recommended type of cat, please post it.
I thought about trying to modify the stock main cats to the 3 inch inlet size and just use them cause I heard they were 200 cell. Is this true?

I have 3 inch downpipes on my tiptronic 2000 S4 so I was looking for cats with 3 inch piping. Currently the car has KO3 turbos, but plan on changing to something else after running the car for a while.

    Thanks

I run Magnaflow 200 cell metal cor spun cats. They are very small in physicals size and offer very little restriction.

I imagine with the seamless all SS construction they would last a long time. I doubt they would ever leak or crumble. How efficient they are over time would be a different question. I don't think the version of Magnaflows i have would pass anything in CALI though.

How loud is your exhaust running the Magnaflow 200 cell? Ever run 300 cell to see the difference?

Loud from the outside with no drone and fairly mild from the inside unless you are really into it. Here is a video from a year or so back. I like the sound so much i am afraid to tinker with it and i really like to tinker.

Obviously your cat back is custom, but what is your setup? What was your speed?

that was for the 150 club so it was not really an issue for the car. This year was rained out so no chance really run it.

3" to 2.5" downpipes, magnaflow 2.5 inch 200 cell metal cats, dual 2.5 inch through 2 in 2 out resonator and custom rear section out the big twin ovals.
I think cops can hear all stage 3 or + from a mile away.

I'll be running the full 3" downpipes for the tiptronic, why 2.5 instead of 3 inch cats when you have 3 inch downpipes? Better velocity at your mods?

Sorry I edited my post. My downpipes are the original AWE 3" tapering to 2.5".
