I'm not sure if Audi has some sort of automatic non-menu-engaged TPMS in place that doesn't require this mod but I want the menu that lets me see it with my own eyes before waiting for a dummy light (if one exists). Most newer luxury cars have this standard so not sure why Audi makes us work to enable it but there you go lol

So this actually tells you the pressure of each individual tire? Ive never activated this but I have gotten warnings in the past that told me which tire was low. Is that what it turns on?

Going to let someone else chime in since I'm not sure - I can't enable it since the security code is wrong as I mentioned

    Hello Inferno,

Yes the only hardware that needs to be installed is this button, which is not expensive. I read, that you just need to modify the coding of the front camera (which is installed with the ACC option) and to code a steering wheel to vibrate (this must work with all servotronic, which is standard on all audi A7). There is another forum where they was trying to do this, but with no success. BTW there is a guide how to enable lane assist on Golf MK7 with ACC installed, so I do not see why would not be possible to enable this feature on Audi A6/A7.

    Hello Nully,

Ok. I have a few questions about your guide. If I understand you right you use you smartphone hotspot and then connect router to wi-fi of your phone (you configured router to wisp mode to enable that). Than you send 3G data through the trendnet USB to Ethernet cable and AMI usb cable to the MMI (which is set to the right gateway settings with the script in your guide), and you now got the online services working. Now if my understanding is right I have these two questions.

    1. Why do you need to enable WI-FI in MMI, since you do not get any data via car wi-fi, but through AMI USB.

    2. Now I am thinking if I could do this mod, with only use and Android phone and use USB teather and then connect the phone via usb cable to the AMI USB cable. Then enable all setting in green menu and I think that it should also work. what do you think?? This way I would get carging, internet and also functional car wi-fi.

Obviously not the greatest safety idea, but how cool would it be if the night vision camera worked without the lights needing to be on.. anyone have a code for that? :)

    Hi,

Any luck enabling these red segments on speedo? I've got 2015MY EUR-spec A7 and successfully turned on the needle sweep, but no red perimeter light (with cruise enabled, too).

Your car is EUR-spec too, right?

When you enable cruise control, does it indicate the set speed with a red perimeter segment?

    1. You don't need to enable the Wifi in MMI. That's just a nice to have.

    2. This would not work. MMI only recognizes (has drivers) for certain ethernet chipsets. Your Android phone in USB tether mode would not be recognized by MMI. This is why only certain ethernet USB adapters work. (The right chipset and low enough power draw)

Thank you Nully for your answer. Yes it is cool to have wi-fi on, but it is pointless, because you already can connect to the hotspot from your mobile. Well I will try this one day.

    Now another crazy idea! :)

Do you think that it would be possible to enable massage function, if it is not installed from the factory? I have the comfort seats with ventilation and the seats with the massage function is the same. There is only aditional button to turn on the massage on the massage seats. I think that If I could manage to wire some button to the seat and do some coding in vcds that it should work. As I know the massage funktion only uses lumbar support that moves in different directions. Am I right?

Look great. I have the same car. 2016 s7 Daytona Grey with 21" rims black optic. I had 10mm front and 12mm back spacers installed. First week i had it I sheared one of the plastic fender screws off with the tire when it went over a bump.
Took it to Audi, had the other side removed as they are not totally necessary. tire has not touched since. You have that problem? Let me know how you lowered it as i would like to have mine a tad lower as well. have you had any luck doing any bag mods on the new 2016 MMI?
    Thanks

I don't think our cars do that... they don't have pressure sensors inside the wheel, instead they measure speed of each wheel and can tell when one is lower than the others based on the diameter of the wheel (as it will spin faster).
Arguing with an engineer is a lot like wrestling with a pig... After a couple hours you realize the pig likes it.

A friend enabled the needle sweep for me yesterday, no LEDs on my speedo either. Maybe it is a A7 thing, or possible an option package I don't have???

Oh yeah, why is this thread not a sticky? It is on other model forms, would be great for quick reference!

Seems like it is a special feature of the cruise control - some cars indicate the set speed with red segments and some don't.

Would much appreciate if anyone who's car indicates these red segments shares module 17 long coding with me so I will do some research here.

Hey sciblades - would be great if you could update your fantastic list of tweaks with the following, given they work:

Enable coming home/leaving home function DRL
    [Select]
    [09 Central electric]
    [Coding - 07]
    [Long coding helper]
Click on byte 6 and disable bit 4

Leaves the low beams off when unlocking the car and just have the DRLs on when its dark outside, similar to some other Audis. Much cleaner look.

    ----------

Tail lights on with front DRLs
    [Select]
    [09-Central Electric]
    [Coding - 07]
    [Long Coding Helper]
Click on byte 2 and enable bit 7

Turns on rear tail lights DRLs during the day, for a more aggressive look.

    ---------

Change the Adaptive Cruise Control Preset distance
    [Select]
    [13 Distance Regulation]
    [Adaptation - 10] --> channel 7
    Change from 0 to 1
    Reboot MMI

Will now have an option in your MMI under Car --> Driver assistance --> Adaptive Cruise Control to set which of the 4 preset distances your car will default to when you activate your ACC.

    ---------

Disable rear side markers in US vehicles
    [Select]
    [46-Central Convenience]
    [Security Access] enter 16017
[Adaptation - 10] --> channel 209 for left rear side marker
Document your existing number should you need to re-enable rear side markers later
    Change existing number to 0
Channel 210 for right rear side marker
Document your existing number should you need to re-enable rear side markers later
    Change existing number to 32

Also one other tweak worth adding, for those who are frustrated with the parking brake being enabled every time you turn on the car, and then having to disable it before pulling away. AoA removed the TSB that allows dealers to turn off this default setting on the C7s, but you can do it yourself.

Turn off parking brake when in park mode
    [Select]
    [53-Parking Brake]
    [Adaptation - 10]
Click the drop down channel menu
Select the "Automatic parking brake for selector lever position P"
    Change to Not Activated

+1. Some of us like the cleaner look found in the European versions of our cars. Hence why there's instructions on AA and AW to turn off the ugly side markers on various Audi models. Taking it one step further, you can even replace them with body colored: http://www.tagmotorsports.com/audi-a...lector-package

does anyone know how to activate modules that are not "installed"? for instance, rear spoiler is a box, but when i click on it, its not installed and says communication failed. in addition to wanting to see rear spoiler settings, I'm trying to activate the Auto-Brake_Hold feature for the button from a euro-spec car i just bought. i can't find that setting so i figure its in one of the modules i can't open.

I downloaded VCDS Version 15.7.0 today and was able to make some changes, but not others to my 2016 RS7 as follows:

    1) Disable amber corner lights
    [09 – Cent. Elect.] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 10
    Submodule 0
Bit 3 - Set to 0 to disable amber side markers (U.S. vehicles)

This worked but there is no supporting text in the Long Coding Helper. Bit 3 was checked and I simply unchecked it

    2) Disable NAV & Phone warning messages while entering data at speed
    [5F - Information Electr.] -> Adaptation -> Set channel 2 & 3 to 250

I was not able to do this. The choices in the Adaptation settings are way different than I have previously seen

    3) Enable Adaptive brake lights
    [46 - Comfort System] [Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 8
Bit 0 – Emergency Brake Flashing via Turn Lights active (1 = active)
Bit 1 – Emergency Brake Flashing via Brake Lights active (1 = active)

The coding was accepted but I won't know if this worked until I have someone follow me (not too closely!) and then be in front of me

    4) Enable Automatic Gear selection shown in DIS
    [02 – Auto Trans] [Adaptation – 10]
Select “Single Gear Display” from top channel drop down menu
Select “D on/S on” from New value drop down menu

The coding was accepted but I didn't drive the car today so won't know if it worked for a couple of days

    5) Set Audi parking system - Switch OFF Speed
    [10 - Park/Steer Assist] [Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 23
Set to 20 (max value in km/h)

I was not able to do this. Park/Steer Assist is no longer an available module

    6) Tail lights on with front DRLs
    [Select]
    [09-Cent. Elect.]
    [Coding - 07]
    [Long Coding Helper]
Click on byte 2 and enable bit 7

This worked for me but again there was no supporting text in the Long Coding Helper. I clicked bit 7 in byte 2. This also turned on the rear marker lights so I had to disable them as shown below.

    7) Disable rear side markers in US vehicles
    [Select]
    [46-Central Convenience]
    [Security Access] enter 16017
[Adaptation - 10] --> channel 209 for left rear side marker
Document your existing number should you need to re-enable rear side markers later
    Change existing number to 0
Channel 210 for right rear side marker
Document your existing number should you need to re-enable rear side markers later
    Change existing number to 32

VCDS also showed me a security code of 22790 but I used 16017. My original codes for the left was 51201 and 51233 for the right

    8) Enable coming home/leaving home function DRL
    [Select]
    [09 Central electric]
    [Coding - 07]
    [Long coding helper]
Click on byte 6 and disable bit 4

Leaves the low beams off when unlocking the car and just have the DRLs on when its dark outside, similar to some other Audis. Much cleaner look.

This worked for me, but again no supporting text in the Long Coding Helper

    9) Change the Adaptive Cruise Control Preset distance
    [Select]
    [13 Distance Regulation]
    [Adaptation - 10] --> channel 7
    Change from 0 to 1
    Reboot MMI

Will now have an option in your MMI under Car --> Driver assistance --> Adaptive Cruise Control to set which of the 4 preset distances your car will default to when you activate your ACC.

I now have the option in MMI and made a change.

    10) Turn off parking brake when in park mode
    [Select]
    [53-Parking Brake]
    [Adaptation - 10]
Click the drop down channel menu
Select the "Automatic parking brake for selector lever position P"
    Change to Not Activated

This was already set to "Not Activated" in my car.

    11) Enable window closing with remote (opening is already an option in MMI)

    46 - Cent. Conv.
    Adaptation - 10
    Channel 62
Change value from 8738 to 48059
    Test
    Save

I did what CanuckRS did and added 1 to the existing value of 8738 and the close feature for the windows was now functional (but not the sunroof). VCDS showed adding 16 to the number would allow the closing of the sunroof with the remote and it did.

I hope this helps you folks.

I will appreciate any input as to how to make the 2 changes I was unable to do - Set Audi Parking System switch off speed and turn off the NAV warning message.

    Thanks.

I was receiving an error with the stable & beta about a missing ASAM. I sent the full scan to support and he sent me a file to copy to my computer and the error went away. That was about the extent of our interaction.

Use this hidden menu at your own risk.
Caution: Keep away from the "Bootloader"
Add-on: Channel 6 in MMI High and Channel 5 in MMI Low.

Has anyone successfully change the 5F controller channels?

The VCDS mods for 5F channels posted are completely different in my 2016 RS7.

Therefore, I can't enable hidden menu, VIM, and disable NAV/Phone warning while entering data at speed

I did - succcessfully enabled the hidden menu. Lost all previously stored radio channels every time I changed adaptation values, though. Weird.
