Isn't it weird that it's such a huge improvement, and Audi must have known, yet all these cars were supplied with skinnier sways? Such a simple thing..yet they cheaped out. I guess we oughtta be thankful they had anti-swaybars at all!

My guess is its not about them cheaping out. I think it is about smoothing out the ride as much as possible for the average consumer.

And actually, isnt a smaller sway bar better for rough terrain/offroading? In that case, maybe the stock size makes more sense on a car that is supposed to be an SUV.

Ive just recently been looking into this myself. It seems that the rs6 sway bars are similar to the allroad but clearly beefed up. Im very interested in this upgrade myself! Undecided on the hotchkis or rs6's but this is clearly an easy upgrade for the allroad!

It's unlikely the RS6 rear will fit on an AllRoad, the shapes are different to account for the compressor.

Yeah, you want more flex in order to better keep the tires on the ground. A beefier sway bar would do the opposite. That's why many off road vehicles have a way disconnect the sway bar when things get rough.

agreed, this is correct! /\ Plus, even with the stock sway bars, getting this thing to three wheel or teeter on two wheels is nothing new when you're off roading. So i dont think the stiffer sway bars will really affect its off road capability. just my .02
