'Bomiz' Build Thread 2013 S4

I have decided to create a build thread after all this time. And the mods are getting more addicting by the day :D All of these has happened from when I got the car, until now.
Specs: Monsoon Gray P+, DSG, Carbon Fiber, Nav, B&O, 19" Peelers, Sport Diff

8/2/12 Picked up the Car from the dealership:


Decided to Vinyl the window trim light smoke tint taillights, get Air 80 tint(incl. windshield), plastidip grill, rear diffuser, and wheels. Oh and SC badges :P


After the "blackout" I ordered and installed the Roc-Euro Intake


I then decided to remove my rear mufflers for fun, I got oval tips that were a tad too small haha. Drone for dayyyysssss.



A few months later, I went back to stock...

I then went out of the mod game for a little while (huge mistake!).

About a month ago, I purchased a used APR RSC Exhaust from a fellow forum member. And what do you think I did with it? Got it installed




After the exhaust I went out and bought a brand new set of wheels. And they look great! Miro 111



I got tired of my OEM grill... So I went Chinese. Looks really good! Just ring fitment problems like everyone else. Her personality changed.



I ordered an Alu Kreuz from Eurocode at SocalEuro but it was still being manufactured So I had to wait a couple weeks. Got it installed on (10/4/13). The steering does feel a little bit different and I like it. Sort of removes most of the "wobbliness"


Glen@AMI convinced me to go with some Solo-Werks coilovers and I trust his word and Solo-Werks'. Pretty cool story behind the team and Glen.



After the lowness occurred, I ordered the B8.5 Deval rear diffuser since I got rear ended and would be reimbursed towards the cost of the deval one. Saving money!

Looking really good. I especially like the rear valance in black. Some low would look great, and I would focus on getting rid of the amber corners. Wheels look nice as well.

So on tuesday of last week I was rear ended at a stop sign. The guy said he wasn't from around here and was paying attention to the buildings.... and idled into my car. Waiting for all the insurance stuff to go through so I can get my car into the shop!

It's funny because there's minimal damage to the valence and it still needs to get replaced. My plan is the deval one :)

Lightly tapped my center resonator today. Idk why Apr puts it so low. Slight rattling increased . Might just replace it with an x pipe or something

I'll for sure have to replace the resonator when the car is dropped. I wonder how it would sound with an AWE, Milltek, or any other company resonator



Also, on a side note... What do you guys think the best Vinyl color is for the headlights? I think white carbon fiber would work?

I used to scrap all the time in the S4 on OE springs... That damn APR resonator does sit really, really low. I am looking to replace it with something else as well...

ActiveS5 threw an x-pipe.. I would think straight piping would be better because the system already has an X-pipe? Not sure. But it does sound the same just louder. And I have no idea how it will sound when mixing mufflers haha.

Just a little update for everyone;

Getting my Coilovers tomorrow(tuesday) installation on Thurs.
New center resonators for the APR Exhaust (get tomorrow, install weds). They are different than APR's so lets see how it changes the sound. Main reason for this is because their resonator sits too low when I drop the car.
Ordered the Deval B8.5 Rear Diffuser today, will be going on when I take my car to the Body Shop for Repairs.

The resonator I bought are 2 Vibrant 1792 Resonators. 12inch full length.

Then you're golden. Always fun to experiment- especially when you're searching for the sound you want.

Zero drone. I'm lowering my car and their resonators/mufflers sit VERY low. Lower than stock exhaust and I think all the other exhaust companies. The center resonator will get destroyed, as mine is already dented and making small rattles. These vibrant resonators will minimize drone(since i'm changing apr's muffler), but most likely will be louder.

Guess it wasn't my center resonator. Exhaust still rattles. Think it's the right side. Ain't replacing that shit

For people that want to know my rattling problem here's a video. You can hear the sound at the end of the new resonators to change the tone/ get rid of the exhaust hanging low. Sound is ... Besides the rattling, I love the sound! Coilovers tomorrow! And then diffuser somewhere next week!!
