So it took me a little while to get the wheels and then had some issues sourcing bolts but I finally got the wheels on this week. They're 20x9.5 MRR HR9's on Kumho Ecsta 4X 255/45/20 Let the photos begin...

I like them a lot! I have "machined finished" wheels on my Golf and have been thinking of having them repainted in a Hyper-silver finish.

I'd like to see yours in the same solid finish. Still, your SQ5 looks sick!

Thanks, I was iffy on which to do on a black vehicle. I'm sure I'll get sick of trying to keep them clean at some point, that'll be a good time to get them refinished. I think a slight drop will be next though.

To each his own, but these wheels are just unattractive and make the car look cheap. OE are much better looking, sorry.

^ Agreed. I wouldn't even use those for winter wheels.

Find 21's that come in winter tires and I'll use those, for now these are what I like :)

I disagree. They look "classy" IMO.. Like something you would see on a Range Rover, but more aggressive looking. I say stick with these wheels, they are sweet.

Your Kumhos are all seasons, so why are you bringing up winter tires? Not sure of your objective, but why would you want 21" winter tires anyway? Why not buy a 20" or 19" winter tire/wheel set?

Scott: like I've said, everyone has different taste. They actually look OK on RR (though not exactly the same wheel), but it's a totally different beast than a smaller and sportier Q5.

The 21's that came on the SQ5 were the OE wheels I had to work with. Hence the reason for purchasing a second set of wheels. The dude after you was the one that brought up "winter wheels" so I didn't bring it up, I was just responding to a prior comment.

So you got rid of one of the best looking wheels that Audi made (referring to the 21" SQ5 wheel) and replaced them with these to use year round? Why not a dedicated 20" winter tire/wheel set? I'd imagine you get a hefty amount of snow in MD, no?

Actually last year we didn't get any, DC is off and on. I still have the 21's that I'll switch out when the weather is warm enough and when I choose to. I lived in maine for 20 years and AS's served me fine (and that was with 2wd).

Honestly, I love the rims, I love black and silver, I love the concave and I love the fact that I have another set to use when I feel like it. I also love the fact that I own an SQ5, switching from an A4 to this is like switching from a bicycle to a jet for me.

oh and my favorite color is blue

    I confess...when you first mentioned them, I didn't think I'd like them.

    And I was wrong.

I think they look terrific. Especially so against the black finish. Scott totally nailed it, IMO: CLASS. And they totally complement the o/s mirrors. Kudos. Run what you dig and screw the rest of us knuckleheads. :)

If I may - you mentioned having a great shop for detail and PPF work. I'd strongly recommend Opti-Coat Pro or equivalent on those wheels. Winter grime and salt...let alone brake dust...and all of those spokes. Oy.

Something is seriously off with your perception if the first thing that came to your mind was "Ford Edge"
I can understand if the wheels are not your "style" but by no means does his Audi look like a frickin Ford Edge.

idk why they kind of remind me of Stasis wheels, which isn't a bad thing. The more I look at them the better I like them.

The wheels made me think of it. Not saying the Audi looks like a ford...saying the wheels on the audi made me think of the wheels on the edge.

    This is Fun :)

Thanks for the support guys. To those who don't like them, that's cool I understand its just an opinion.. that being said, I'll stop persuing my idea of rebadging my SQ5 as a ford edge.. I guess that mod will get even more criticism.. (Sarcasm for those who aren't from the east coast)

Hell, you can build a Ford Edge that cost over $40k!

Nice wheels, they look classy. I agree that the oem wheels look sportier, but i like the concave look and fitment of the mrr's. Nice pics too btw

Ford will also give you incentives that will give you at least 4-5k off a new Edge.

This is a true statement. I didn't pay MSRP for my Audi, so I can't imagine anyone paying MSRP for a Fod Edge.

Hmmm, not sure about this! I like the two tone finish and pinstripe of the originals...
Will reserve judgement until they are on the car tho!

That's going to have to wait a few months until the cold weather clears :)

I liked grey tone on the rims but I didn't like to polished surface. Decided to go with a little darker of a grey though, turned out the way I wanted it. Considering doing a gloss black on my winter setup, but that I could care less about right now.
