for straight pumpgas it seems very strong!

Which track? I am trying to see track conditions.

You are on average 1.5-2 mph higher traps from my best pumpgas runs and your 1/8 puts you in the mid/low 10.60s easy! On straight pumpgas it is very impressive! Almost racegas numbers, which according to the APR dyno charts sounds about right!

You also had amazing 60fts!!! Which tires do you use? Did you use the full launch function as discussed in the APR thread?

Is it a straight stage 2 car (meaning just downpipes and tune) or do you have other mods too?

Green Cove Springs Dragway outside of Jacksonville, FL. First pass I was told the DA was ~2200 ft. Temperature was around 90 degrees second pass temps were down to about 80.

Tires are NT555 G2s on 20" Velgen wheels. I haven't read about the launch function... I brought up the revs at the staging lights like you would any torque convertor car.

with that DA the times are very impressive! it seems that the stage 2 file has some issues on racegas, which I am sure APR will resolve shortly. probably due to the excessive torque! But on pumpgas it actually highlights the 2nd stage's capabilities!

According to APR the launch function will produce much more powerful launches since the car will be leaving with boost. I will be testing it myself in the next couple of weeks.

I just read the launch procedure.

I did basically the same thing minus 100% throttle input.

I took my 2013 Audi S6 to Royal Purple Raceway in Houston on Friday night, APR Stage 1 V1.1 ECU Tune, APR TCU and complete crap worn out Pilot Sport AS/3 tires. Car was running on a mix of 104 and 93 octane and on the APR 100 Octane map. Did 7 runs, fastest one attached.
Temp was 78 degrees F, DA was 1680

    Video:

    Slip:

First run of the night had the best 60' on 93 octane. Was dealing with massive wheels spin the whole night. New tires and DPs will be going on in a few weeks.

In my opinion you should not trust gasoline mixes. If you want to run the 100 map just run pure 100 octane, the 104 pure 104, etc.

It is very difficult to get the mix right because it is difficult to really estimate how much gas you have left over in the tank.

I had originally planned that, someone in my house decided to fill the tank up the night before all the way.....(Wife). So I had to run the tank down some just to even fit 6-7 gallons of 104. Next time, sticky tires, full 104, downpipes, stage 2 software and maybe some weight reduction. I want to somehow run in the 10s.

Wow, 221.53 KPH in the 1/8! That's 137.65 MPH! Incredible. Definitely a new record.

This was my first 1/4 mile event at York Raceway in the UK. DA was 130ish i believe. Temp 19 degrees C.
Got a lot of wheel spin even im 2nd gear i just couldn't get full traction.

I did a run just before but couldnt get launch working and ran in D.

Straight in to the 11s first go pretty happy.

I was hoping the trap would be 118ish what does my trap speed look like for a stage 1?
Im new to all this so 60ft means nothing. The car next to me on this run was a golf r stage 1 APR. My reaction time was poor because of launch control not working right away.

    Car is stage 1 revo
    My weight is around 180lbs.

    Quite fun this stuff.

trap speed is low but it will be running the car in d

you have to put the car in s mode and dynamic for all the settings except suspension which should be in comfort then you will see your trap speed rise, on a 94 oct unitronic was trapping 120/121 on a pump file with street tires you want to around that

That run was in dynamic previous run wasnt. Would suspension im comfort help my trap that much? Thought everyone ran in dynamic. It was struggling for traction even through second.

The suspension will absorb the shock, what tires pressure did you run?

He comes the newbie answer. No idea!
Wheels just got powder coated 3 days prior and they set them up. I drove 130 miles and full whack most of the way let it cool for an hour then ran. Engine was still too hot to touch. Didnt have much choice though was limited on time today. Tire pressures no idea never checked. What works best? Can pnly guess stock pressure. How does the rest of my slip look. 60ft 18th etc cheers bud

Old post revival but finally checked my tyre pressures and they were over 38psi all round. Tracking appears to be off also as it's pulling to the right since wheels were powder coated. What should I try them at 33-34? Mi e is the Avant (wagon) by the way. Hopefully running again in the next month. After reading through this thread I realised I made some amateurish errors. I thought to keep the engine cool by running the fans I had the engine running running all the time with the bonnet (hood) down. Kicking myself. Next time I'll try not fuck it up so much.

Anyone know what catless downpipes are on the s8 on the first page in the chart? One running 10.6@128 on 104 and stage2 APR tune???

The only catless downpipes I can find for s8 are these milltek ones here:

Try lowering the rear to 36 and go from there, drop a psi up front then rear until you can find your sweet spot .. It really depends on track conditions so it's trial and error. I agree with sciblades on leaving suspension on comfort as you want the rear to squat when you're coming out the hole.

That sounds about right. There's definitely room to improve your 60', though. I ran a 12.0 @ 113 at that track with same DA with APR Stg 1 with a 1.66 ft. Shave off a tenth off your 60' and that will be good for ~.2 in the 1/4.

Ya, was doing a lot of experimenting last night. Installed the stock intake for my first few runs, was curious if the roc euro did anything. Had a 1.69 60ft on it @115 for 12.01. When I put the intake back on and the 60ft went down hill due to traction issues, was spinning through first into second, but was able to get multiple 11 second runs. Using cheap Goodyear all season tires, so my next step would be either better tires or try to lower the launch rpm. Either way I know there's room for improvement still.

Best I've done was a 1.4 60 foot and that was literally just driving up and being the first one to make a hit at the track.

Thanks mate it's still new to me. I think my local track is a bit ropey to be honest. I've never done better than 1.75 and often it's 1.9-2+ I'm running p zeros right now but plan to try pss when it's time to change them out. So other than the track there's not much you can do if it's not well prepped then? Try another track I guess.

first runs at the track tonight, completely stock 2014 including tires with unitronic stage 1+

no weight reduction ect, used launch control and in comfort suspension for 2 runs, dynamic for the slower run

with some good tires this would easily be an 11.4 run since i mostly spun in 1st gear , next week i will be doing the stage 2 downpipes and stage 2 tcu tune and going back hoping to run low 11's on pump and high 10's on race gas

Current Ride- 2018 Audi RS3 Glacier White
    Unitronic- 10.0@136mph race prepped
10.5@133mph winter tires full street prep

I dont think that was a great time consider unitronic did 11.4@120mph.

No doubt their stage1 is very aggressive but I am yet to see anyone repeat their advertised time.

His 60ft is poor and he trapped 119 each rub that's pretty good to me. I encourage anyone with any tune to run a better time. Don't care who just as long as we see better times. Would be awesome to have every tuner run the same 1/4 but the logistics would be pretty difficult to arrange.

As i said above 119 is great with 1.9 60ft but until someone prove 11.4 is doable with stage1 i am a doubter.

There are already multiple apr user ran 11.6 and i ran 11.5 with oe tuning last year i just saying no one has reported what unitronic advertised.

I appreciate he take his time to go track and share his result and i look forward to his stage2 result.

The trap speeds are no joke on pump. Wonder how unitronic get 119 so easily.

Heck of a some runs for sure, fantastic. 11.5's for sure would have been doable with a 1.6X 60'. 10.9x with downpipes and race gas, possible with a real low DA and a perfect 60'.

What track to you run at? What was the DA? weather in PA last night looked like it was really good
