Electrical Gods ............ Help me out please.

A funny thing happened this morning. Last night the traction control light was on like usual. Its been on for a year. Previous to that I sent out my ABS module to Matt at CheapABS and hes been great with supporting me on this. My ABS light went away when I re installed the repaired ABS Module but my traction light stayed on. This morning it was off and stayed off for about a half an hour. I also noticed that my door locks worked a lot faster and my alarm engaged/as they should (usually I have to hit the lock button a lot to activate the alarm and lock the doors). Then once the traction control light came back on, the locks went back to not working well anymore. Its strange. Anyone have experience with this? Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Scan for codes with VCDS? Sounds like things are communicating properly somewhere.

Do you think this has to do with my driver side door wire harness?

Yaw rate sensor code: could be a short, draining power to it, and starving the rest of the electrical system (i.e. the door locks).

Check the wiring. Also the terminals and pins on the plug.

Traction control does not use the Yaw rate sensor. The ESP uses the yaw sensor. The DTC saying there is a electrical fault with the driver's door control module relates specifically to a wiring problem in the door harness. Check the wires in the harness at the door jamb where the wires go through the rubber boot. The wiring often breaks inside the boot due to flexing over time. Also, the brake booster vacuum pump or the hose connection to the pump are faulty, and there is reduced brake power assist at the brake peddle. This DTC may be why the traction control light is ON.

Thanks Diagnosticator. I finally had time to fix my drivers side door. it was hanging on by a thread. Every wire was screwed. Fixed that. Now the light comes on and goes off at random. Im thinking i have more door issues........ Ill keep you posted. Did I mention I now have 240k on the clock :)
