APR Stage 2+ Map Switching Issue

This morning I switched the car back to the stock map. However, when I went to start the car up to take off in stock mode it just fizzled out and didnt start. Almost like the map wasn't engaged or something. I went back and tried the program selecting again. I fired it up and it didn't work on first attempt but then gurgled to life the second time I tried to start it. Idled just fine from there out and ran perfectly fine on the way to work. Now I'm just worried that when I get in it on the way home that it isn't going to start back up. Anyone else experienced these problems? Little bit nervous to say the least.

First off you should call APR. They have excellent customer service.

Second, did you press they key in and let the car do its checks after reloading the map? I know on previous model Audi's and my last Subaru, everytime I changed maps I had to put the key in to the on position and let it sit for a minute before I would start the car. Something about DBW calibrations and such.

I did not put the key in the car and let it sit, but that could definitely be the issue. It would make sense why the car would not be happy starting up. It probably needs to be calibrated with the key. Thank you for your input, my next step was to call APR obviously, but this morning I was rushing on the way to work.

If you have advanced key, you get in the car, DON'T PRESS THE BRAKE and hit the start button. This turns the ignition to On but doesn't start the car. You do your map changes and then press the start button again WITHOUT pressing the brake to turn it off. Then hold the brake and press start. Car should start normally on the newly changed map.

Swank yea that is the way that I usually do it because i have advanced key. Wasn't working correctly so I will have to try with the key in the ignition.

Maybe it just lost it's mind or something. I'd find out from APR unless you can duplicate it and you find a pattern, it could have just been a one-off.
