Found a screw on the driver side floor, not sure if I tracked it in from somewhere else or if it belongs to the car. It looks like one if the complicated screws that Audi would use but not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

The only reason I think I may have tracked it from outside is I had on my running shoes and I have been known to pick up a few things. Also I don't think it was in the car when I got out so either it fell out of the door when I closed it or came loose when the steering wheel went into exit position. I can't find anyplace it would go.

Check and see if your driver's side seat control panel is still firmly attached to the seat. That is about the size of two screws which attach the panel support frame to the seat. I found a screw about that size on the floor and that is where mine came from.

i bought some a few months ago
likely underseat storage or the plastic housing that has the adjustable seat levers

i will guess that it did not come loose

    it probably fell during assembly

its easier to just pull out another then fish around for a loose one

That would make sense that they wouldn't fish for one. It does seem strange after all this time it would show up. My controls are not loose but I didn't really pull on them. When I get a chance later I will give it a thorough inspection.

    FYI
For anyone that had to do this. There is no nut missing , it is built into the seat. Apparently I was putting the screw in backwards. The screw doesn't go in from under the seat but from outside the seat. You have to unsnap a plastic clamp in the front of the seat and pull up on the plastic. The seat control knobs stay on and then just screw in the screw.
