today I ordered wheels,


looking forward to seeing what other members are doing.

...as far as what was "done" today on my car, the T304 Stainless version of my exhaust was finished tonight, and now it's off to Mundo Tech to be laser scanned and developed in an exotic material ;)

I let the guys at d2 industries decide all the width and offset, they are 21 I got a brushed matte grey finish, matte black drums and I was not going to get exposed hardware until I saw the picture above then fell in love.
now I have to decide if I want to go titanium lugs/locks and will probably do the h&r module

That 63 engine is Amazing! When i was living in the UAE for a while this year i rented myself a CLS 63 AMG 13'. The amount of fun i had with it . My friend had no chances keeping up since he had at the A7 3.0T.

What I like to hear we need more fast s6/s7's at the track and on the road, the more people who tune/modify their cars the better products will come out for them, our platform is so new there needs to be more choice to help with the prices too.

There were rentech e63's in florida when I was at the track and they never broke 12's, just make sure you are tuned racing from a dig and only 1/4 mile ;) anything past the 1/4 you will be sol those things trap stupid fast if they could hookup it would be game over

No way man, are you sure they were the NEW e63 engines ? Cuz the old ones were just an NA 6.1L.. And am not sure if you know that the new E63 AMG S is a +550 hp AWD. Stock 0-60 around 3.4 secs.

Not to mention the Alpha performance packages available for them. Unfortunately our s6's are going to get left in the dust with all of aftermarket support being offered to our closest competitors (e63 and M5). Hell, even the BMW 550i has stg 3 tunes and intercooler upgrades available. We have 2 stg 1 tunes and 2 exhaust systems available.

Yea the awd ones will murder us I was talking about the rwd versions, the new awd model is ballin money, if some one wants to pay the money some one will do a stage 3 setup for us and clutch packs but most people don't buy are car looking for that kind of performance.

With money anything is possible :p

Actually the clutch packs are the least of my worries. I'm more worried about the stock cast pistons blowing apart with much more than a stg 1 tune. While most people "right now" won't want to spend that kind of money to make it that kind of car, imagine when the used car market is flooded with c7 s6s and they are more affordable to people. AWD and a tt v8 is a winning combo. i guess we will have to be the pioneers..
The other problem is we don't have the displacement. We might hit low 11s with s8 turbos, full catless exhaust, and stg 2 tune but barely hit 125 traps. I guess it's not that type of car but I like to have my cake and eat it too.

Hey, tint makes a world of a difference in the looks of a car. What did you go with?

Here is what I did today. Added carbon fiber paddle extensions and carbon fiber steering wheel inlay.

Cant argue with that my friend. Never talked about being the fastest... Hell if it was a race ? I have a shaved 2004 Mustang body with a built cobra engine thats going to have a single Gtx 45 turbo next winter season.. I have a built 2002 SVT lightning with a 3.4L whipple supercharger that puts down 720 rwhp and as for a fun project am swapping a 6.2LS engine from a corvette into a 1994 Mazda Rx7... What am trying to say is... Whatever power we have... Its never satisfying, we always crave for a faster, stronger cars.

if the airbag goes off does it crack the carbon fiber or does it just project it? i'de be worried about taking that carbon to the face.

Okay so it was a brand New E63S only 3 days old and 320 miles on it with development tune on it. We decided go from a launch and his was practically next to me the whole time but the lower gearing of the S6 helped it pull harder around 60 and then I stayed ahead by a car length till 120 when we both backed off. They were really surprised themselves and I did have exhaust from Awe-Tuning. We also did a roll from 40 but the responsiveness of our motors had me going sooner and still ahead up to a 100. Very surprised and happy with the tune compared to the ETG tune I had on before. I still believe that are DSG tranny had a lot to do with the win over the Mercedes 7-spd. When I drove the Benz it did have better top end and the tranny did kick harder but there was noticeable lag compared to the S6. I have to admit though the handling and overall chassis feel of the Benz felt considerably better than our cars. Remember one thing the Benz was on a development tune so it wasn't at its potential and I'm sure once they hone in their tune the E63S from a launch will be faster as the car wasn't too far behind at all and it wasn't exactly broken in lol. Sorry to say this guys but I kind of like the Benz and definitely a consideration when I'm ready for my next car.

I want to say thank you to APR for their tune, the drivability is far and away better than the stock programming.

Woww,, great run man... Yeah fot sure those E63's will handle and perform better but for 4.0 to be so close like that I think its really fair + the E63s rival is the RS7 which for damn sure the RS7 will eat it alive with its 8 speed ratio gearing. as for the Handling I still see the E63 handling better as well.
