Well, I'll be taking my car to a dealer and pay at least $300 to get the f***ing suspension fixed because I botched a VCDS lowering job by not setting it to 'auto'. Oh well. Now you know what happens if you forget too.

Went back to the dealership and had them put two new rear tires on. They only replaced the front ones when I bought it in late December.

I had a bubble on the rr tire. Upon measuring they said the LR needed replacement. At this point I said "you should have done that 2 months ago when you sold it to me."

$430 later and a hazard warranty (useless) it got my tires replaced.

Never get tires at a dealership they are 2x the price.

My car only had the $250 'Audi rings' factory option on the driver's door. Turns out it should be on both front doors at least, so dealer gave me another, but for that price, it should be for all 4 doors. Somebody removed it from the passenger side, but haven't checked the rear doors. Is it both front or all doors? My car was on the floor, and there were several things missing, including that and the tool to remove the lug caps. At any rate, need to know if the eBay ones more or less match the ones my car has from the factory. Does anybody know? And how much were they? Was thinnking about putting them on the rear doors yesterday, as a matter of fact. Didn't know the rear doors had lights. Ha ha. Thanks.

Late reply but I picked mine up on Amazon, $14 for a pair and installed them myself. First light took about 8 minutes as I was being gentle on removing the light and a bit nervous. The next 3 took about 2 minutes each and look great. I finally got my OBDeleven PRO and made a few changes to my car. I have to say I was very surprised to see "race" mode as an option. I added efficiency and race mode for the heck of it. I then went in and did some Google searches and didn't find much aside from, race mode doesn't work or just uses the last setting it was on. After a drive tonight I can in fact say it works! I couldn't tell a difference in the suspension but the RPM's were held a lot higher than even in dynamic mode. We had dinner and after I started driving home I noticed the RPM was back to normal so I checked and sure enough it had reverted to dynamic mode. I quickly changed it back to race and immediately the RPM jumped from around 900 to 2,000.

I apologize if others have already commented on this, i couldn't find much info so I figured I'd share. I thought it was a cool addition.

Interesting. What year is your car, C7 or C7.5?

Thinking about it, you probably just went into S mode. You have to see if there is any change when you go from dynamic in S mode to race mode. It will always default back to D mode after you turn off the ignition.

I apologize, I'm still new to Audi but I believe it's C7. Produced November 2015, 3.0T if that helps.

Hmm I'm not sure what S mode is, I'm happy to try it though. I have a piggyback from chipwerke coming in soon and going to do some testing then.

S mode is the sport transmission mode. You enter or exit it by pulling the gear shift lever back. It is alway selected when you select dynamic mode, but reverts back to normal D mode when you start the car.

Late 2015, here is New Zealand was C7.5 (facelift model). You can tell by the gear shift lever (button on the front) and if the tacho has ready and off on the dial.

Thanks! Actually bought the lights off a fellow audiziner - the lights were "profesionally brushed" in a dark tint but we both honestly weren't sure what was applied. It's a notable difference compared to the stock C7 shade - hope that helps!

Not true, depends on your dealer... I've bought my last couple sets from my Audi dealer, and they have matched TR.

$45, is pretty steep for sure. When I lived in Gurnee, not far from you, I would ask Discount tire in Round Lake Beach to match TR prices, and they charged not more than 50. to mount and balance. This has been about 10 - 12 years ago.

Ahh, that was why your bill was so bad. Audi Morton Grove is scam heaven. If you do a search for McGrath Audi you will see tons of horror stories.

They moved across the street and dropped the McGrath name but they still get plenty of complaints.

Also you were right on the money when you said they should have replaced the tires when you bought it.

Yep - I'll work with Napleton here in town from now on if I need warranty work done. I bought some Jags from them in the past was always taken care of. They didn't have any used A6s when I was shopping for my current car.

Non warranty work is done by me or my regular mechanic otherwise.

Well after only having my S6 for 3 days now I decided to scare my credit card company. Had to register the car today, decent hit, then said well....time to nut up or shut up. Took advantage of Nick@E1motorsports tax sale, ordered APR downpipes and CPS system, also ordered APR Stage 1, TCU tune, and Milltek non-res exhaust w/ black tips with local APR dealer here in Vegas. After all was said and done, I realized I forgot to order and intake as well . So I'll call him tomorrow and have him add that. Needless to say, now the hard part comes, waiting for parts to show up and installation . I'll be taking the car into local Audi to have it inspected for any possible issues it may have since I did find a few things I'm not happy about once I got her home and was able to really give the car a once over, something I should have done before accepting the car at the Audi dealer in CA. Thankfully I have a customer/friend of mine who has been a tech over there for a number of years and he is aware of what my plans are for the car, said he'll check everything before I install mods so if anything needs to be warrantied it'll be taken care of.

why not go to stage 2 if you got the DP?
