To be honest, I'm not even sure I can tell yet, the car is lowered on H&R's and def feels planted already. I basically just want to keep things from moving around on some nice 60' foots at the track :)

I installed mine on Christmas while my kids slept off their toy hangover. Subtle, but def. an improvement. Well worth the modest investment. Drivetrain absolutely feels more solid.

Hardwired my new Escort Max360c today. V1 was too chatty even with the apps, savvy, and connect. Looking forward to seeing how I like this bad boy. It’s already impressed me, so it’s good to see that mine hasn’t had some of the reported issues (knocks on wood).

What do you mean by modification? It's easy to install takes 10 minutes just make sure you get the one specifically for our cars because there is not much room in between the mirror. Just go to blendmount website and go vehicle specific section. From there you'll find drop down menus that narrow down the options to find what fits your car. The link below is the mount I used for my 2016 A6.

I did the 034 inserts on my car yesterday, no noticeable NVH but have not done any highway driving. I agree with the subtle but worthwhile improvement.

For some reason the trans insert was troublesome with the bolts going back in. They both went in easily until about 2mm left to go but got really tight. I took it back out and blew out some oxidation debris, went in fine after that. The rear end inserts were way easier than I expected, everything went in easily.

Personally i did it myself. Hardest part was getting the doorpanels off and on without breaking the taps (1 tap you need to lift...the other are done with trim remover). While the panels were off i replaced the leather midpanels with alcantara ones (removing glue and glueing the new ones in).

I've heard of more than a few people who installed the diff insert and shortly after they blew a hole through their rear diff with a hard launch.

My theory is the flex in the drivetrain is important to transfer energy. When those parts can't flex, something else needs to.

    I replaced them.

I highly recommend to replace all of the clips while doing this as they may not seat correctly if reusing.

I replaced all of mine while performing.

Also, you'll have to disassemble the rear door handles and transfer them over to the existing housing if you want to maintain the rear door lock button.

I trust 034 and expect if this were true they would have some significantly public backlash. I haven’t heard anything but positive feedback on the inserts, though I will change my opinion if you provide any actual proof of your accusation.

Here's a couple from the last thread on this subject in the 4.0t performance group.

I don't think these are the outrage type of people in the performance group.

First i heard about it...the inserts might indeed putting extra stress on a known weak part imho. Even more, it looks it happend on a car that already did a lot of launches or beating it often...metal datigue can only hold that long till it snaps. Anyway doesnt take away your initinal post that the inserts might put more stress on the diff/axles so a word of caution is correct :).

Installed mine 2 days ago as well. I think the person or persons that Eric is referring to are driving cars with 700hp and a ridiculous amount of torque. Not an issue with my 310hp stock A6 3.0T.

Spacers on. Really helps the look, but now the 19’s and ride height are driving me nuts haha.

I’ll try and get better pics on a cleaner car tomorrow... drove home 300 miles yesterday so it’s dirty.

Looks good, but I think 19’s are too small on this car. I can’t wait to upgrade to 20” wheels in the near future.

No issues. They match the center bore and hub perfectly

19’s are definitely not ideal for looks, but after living in Baltimore I’m so sick of having cracked rims... I saw a stage 3 S6 the other day and the owner had 20’s with a 30 sidewall and I think that’s the look for sure. I’m definitely going to have a set of 20’s come summer and then keep these for winter/backup when I crack a rim. If this wasn’t my daily I would have done 20’s in a heartbeat.

Did some more alcantara details on the interior. Firstly i redid the gearshifter, the shop had originally done it simple fabric with two silver stitches and looked a bit cheap. So i made a now patch of two pieces seamed and on each side silver stitching.
Already did the two pieces beside the airco/mmi, once i had some more alcantara i will do the gloovebox and panel under the steeringwheel.
With the remaining pieces i decided to try some more advanced stuff. I did the backside of the center console where the rear passengers airco unit is. Was bit complex but managed to get all pieces and seam fit and installed. Also did two handles of the roof (ran out of large pieces to make the other two ones). Also did all 4 plastic pieces in the roof (hook attachements of the rear blend). With the last big piece of alcantara i did the trunk release leaver. Turned out pretty good imho and proud.
*after the gloovebox and other panel...maybe the doorsills will begg to be wrapped in alcantara aswell so no more plastic is visible :).
