Looking for getting into the S6

I'm thinking (actually working with the dealership) on getting into the S6. From the test drive it was superb and I almost pulled the trigger on the spot (lol) but I think it's better to hear the feedbacks from the owners first before making hasty decision. Are there any issues you guys have found so far? Driving experience? Anything I should know or expect before hand? I just didn't want to trust on my own excitement entirely.

I had a 2013 s4 for 8 months and in June got a 13' s6. It was a little strange at first to trade such a beautiful car like the s4 but when I'm driving my s6, I feel like I own the road and everyone else needs to get out of the way. The s6 is an amazing vehicle, the excitement to drive it is always there and the car has a way if mailing it feel like it every time. I say, " do not wait any longer, go get your s6!!!!

Thank you Ccraig for your feedback. I'm getting more and more excited and convinced to part with the S4 now.

BTW, you don't actually to apologize for typo. In fact, you can also edit your post to correct any typos too.

I ordered one last week after weeks of researching, test driving etc etc. It's the best car for my lifestyle right now and I can't wait to get it. November can't come soon enough!

Interesting to see the S4 guys transitioning to the S6. Last week, I started thinking about what I want next. Decided S6. Now I gotta figure out when.

No one can beat LOU. He transitioned to S8!

At first I thought about getting a new Cayman S but when I think thoroughly that would leave me to drive a Jetta for a long trip with family and friends which may not be a perfect choice for me. S6 really suits my conditions more and with the same price I get more options in S6 too.

Yeah...I was cheering him on when he announced that transition. S8 too much of a barge for me, but the specs are impressive.

If I was pursuing a side car, the Cayman S would be in my top 3 list. Wife won't let it happen. To get the S6, I'll need to justify to my wife. Already have a strategy, but timing will be next year. Something like this, "Honey, our 3 sons keep growing...the teenagers don't even fit in the backseat of the S4 anymore. I think I need to get something bigger."

Got the wife a new Q5 and told her I was getting an S7. Decided an S6 was better for the family. No problem from her. I love the S8! Maybe next time.

I'm a BMW guy *ducks* and my wife had been looking to trade her 2011 X5M. We had a baby in January and with the new expense of the nanny, she just didn't want the big payment that came with the truck any longer. She was interested in getting a sedan but because of her job as an physician, it had to be AWD. I took her to the Audi dealer to initially look for an S7 but once we saw the S6 on the floor...we both fell in love! Took one for a test drive and I was thoroughly impressed.

Now, I've never been an Audi guy and have always have preferred RWD but I gotta tell ya....the car is flat out awesome! Brutally quick off the line and just pulls and pulls and pulls! Steering is pretty numb (especially compared to my M3) but its not a deal breaker and if you already have an Audi, then it shouldn't be an issue. It handles great for a car of its size. The nose is a little heavy at times but torque vectoring really shows itself under spirited driving through the twisties. The interior is just gorgeous! I've really grown to love the MMI system and even prefer it to iDrive. Especially, the Google Earth navigation.

All in all I gotta say....I'm really liking what Audi is doing right now and I'm even considering an RS5 in the fall....

! However, I will wait to see more of the new M3/4 before making my decision but I could really see myself in an Audi now and I never thought I'd say that!

Guess what I'm saying is....GET THE S6!

I'm going to get it tomorrow but thanks for your input anyway. I actually went to check the S6 just to see how I feel about it and get the number but I couldn't get it out of my mine so I just have to do it.

Speaking of M5, I was considering that too but the BMW dealerships around my area are such a douche. I had arrived at the place and walked around to check the car for good amount of time but no one came to ask me anything at all so I walked away. I guess their business is too good to care for any random guy who just shows up to check their car.

Unfortunately, I haven't and I'm really itching to drive one. However, the X5M has the same motor and that thing was unbelievable, so, I can only imagine what the M5 feels like.

Here in US you definitely don't want to drop by a random shop and must go to a reputable shop or at least the shop you know that they are good but a shop like that has a long line. I have scheduled mine to be tinted next Friday.
