yeah if someone in California wants to trade i'd do it. been searching for a wagon for 2 years now. just haven't found a manual model with the right exterior/interior color for the right price. ended up picking up my current sedan for a good price.

I had the same issue before I found mine. Eventually, I settled on the color and interior with the intent swapping the Tiptronic for a manual. It became a lot easier after that.

After checking for 47th time. My cams are off by 1/2 tooth. FML

Sam - I don't think it's possible to be off ½ tooth. Check the spacing between the cam notches. The pointers on the cam caps don't always line up exactly. It depends upon the position of the cam adjuster. What matters is that you have 16 links between the cam notches.

And problem solved. Moved the cam to the correct 16 links apart and bingo. Starts on the 1st crank.

And my review of this cam is that there is a huge difference in power. I can feel the car breath easier and roar up in the top end

So I've moved to the interior of the car again. 1st thing I did was remove the limo tint that the previous owner had installed. (show car interiors need to be seen)

This is something I wanted to do years ago with my first B6. Since I will NEVER use the cup thrower. I'm mounting my Greddy Spec B in its place. Its a work in progress and will

Anyways, glad to hear the cam is providing that extra push. Where in the rpm range do you see the most improvement?

The A7 is my daily. The silver Avant is the lady's and the white B6 is AZ member Pr1ce's. I've been educating him on the ways of the B6 lol.

What swap problem? I swapped a 6 speed into my '03 with absolutely no issues.

Yes. My ECU just thinks it's in 5th gear but cruise works perfectly fine.

I'm prepping the good ole Nardo Avant for sale. As part of the deal, I'm rebuilding/refreshing my spare engine to put into it. The buyer is going to get a kinda built, kinda new bottom end. It will have IE rods and a freshly rebuilt AEB head. Obviously I will be replacing the wear and tear Items while in there as well

- Piston Rings
- Bearings
- Head Bolts

I put 1100-1200 miles on the b6. And I got it running in July. I did more than a loop around the block

Edit: and I bought 2 other b6s back from the dead!

Goetze or bust. First block used those, second used Grant. Wish I spent the extra coin second block. Goetze has a record of being in spec right out the box, and mine were first block. Blew it by spinning a bearing, totally my fault by bouncing off rev limiter too much. Running same block with Grant rings now.

But I do remember on inspecting my Goetze rings that one oil scraper had a slight bend. Called up MJM, when they didn't rob people, and had a replacement sent no hassle. Company was good when credible. Even had by current Forge 001 drop shipped for like $100 direct from Forge. They didn't list it, but knew they were distributors. Knew their prices could not be beat, so called them up and inquired. Had it drop shipped, been running it ever since. These are the good old AZ days I remember.

Either way, another build soon to be under the belt. Ha!
