    Cool (Jake@JHMs) - 2008 B7 A4 2.0T Product Development/Build Thread

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey Guys,

I would like to start this thread off by saying thanks for all of the support you guys have given us this far! I would also like to thank again those of you who come to us for all of your maintenance or replacement parts and those of you who already purchased our JHM Short Shifter, our JHM Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo, and even our JHM 4:1 Center Diff Upgrade.

For those of you who have never heard of us or barely know who we are, check out our Audizine Tuner Spotlight Video! (I know there aren't any B7 A4s in this video but trust me, we have our hands in them and products are being developed!)

I purchased the car completely bone stock with the intent of having products developed and tested on it (Yes that means intentionally beating the crap out of my car to insure the quality of our parts). Those of you who came out to our annual BBQ in April may remember the car (Some of you felt the Trio Package).

    Vehicle Specs:

    2008 Audi A4 2.0T S-line quattro
    6 Speed Manual Transmission
    96,000 Miles
100% Bone Stock (When I Got it)

    The Car:

    Goals:

Our goal for the B7 A4 2.0T platform is to produce the quickest and fastest cars and to supply you with aftermarket support to get you there. We have completed these goals with every platform we have stepped into and will continue to do so. (See my sig for record setting videos)

Supplying tons of maintenance and replacement products is something we also do. We want to help keep our customers cars in tip-top shape and at the same time, keeping everything affordable. If there is something you are looking for on our website and do not see it, please let us know because we can get it for you.

JHM parts that are installed: (updated 3/24/15)

    1. JHM Solid Trio Package
    2. JHM Solid Cross-rod Upgrade
    3. JHM Stage 1 Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo
    4. JHM 4:1 Center Diff Upgrade
    5. JHM Boost Gauge w/Podi Gauge Pod
    6. JHM 3" Test-pipe
    7. JHM 3" Downpipe- Y to Dual 2
    8. JHM/FI Dual 2.5" S4 Cat Back
    9. JHM 2.0T Front Mount Intercooler KIt
    10. JHM 2.0T Lightweight Crank Pulley
    11. JHM TD05H-R STAGE 3 TURBO KIT **BETA**
    12. JHM 2.0T STAGE 3 TUNING AND FUELING KIT **BETA**
    13. JHM 2.0T High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) Upgrade

Non JHM Parts Installed: (updated 3/24/15)

    1. 034 Street Density Motor Mounts
    2. 034 B7 A4 2.0T Catch Can Kit
    3. 034 B7 A4 2.0T Turbo Inlet Hose
    4. H&R Sport Lowering Springs

I am VERY excited about this 2.0T build because we feel this platform has a lot of potential. I am also excited about being able to offer these products, even though we don't have any "Power Adders" available for the public yet. However, soon enough we will have a complete product line.

Stay tuned for pictures of these/future installs as well as news for product developments!

If you have any questions regarding our products, feel free to PM me, shoot us an email at Sales@JHMotorsports.com, or give us a call at (209) 968-0077.

    Jake

    Update Quicklinks:

    Spark Plug Update
    Diverter Valve Update

    ***Pics posted 8/05/13***

    Before the transmission was removed:

JHM Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo installed (Stage 1):

Center Diff modified and lubed up (case off):

JHM Trio Package + JHM Cross-rod (quattro Package )

Here is a picture that can help answer a lot of questions we get about the JHM Stabilizer Bushing. As you can see the thicker delrin piece goes on the top and the thinner delrin piece goes on the bottom .

    Stage 3 time:

Here is all of the information I am able to provide right now.

The day before Thanksgiving, we ran a 12.87 at 106.38 mph using our JHM Stage 3 TD05H-20G Turbo Kit with JHM Stage 3 Tuning, S3 Injectors, JHM HPFP Upgrade, and yes stock internals.

    [/CENTER]

Thanks again everyone for you continued support. Look for the official release of the JHM Stage 3 Kit this fall! For those of you on our presale list, give us a shout.

    Stay tuned for more results

    I came from a B5 S4, and I would take the B7 2.0T over the B5 S4 any day!

You should do an OTS tune for people who want to go BT but don't want to mess with Maestro.

It was just a thought, but S3 injectors on 91/93/100 octane with GTX2863/2867 would be a good place to start.

I would need your light BBK minus calipers. Ive got 18Z calitper i just need everything else! And as for the shifter package i wish there was a way i could test it out!reading and watching vids doesnt quite sell it for me. I undrstand the years of experience with shifters and numerous ppl that use it i just would like to get the hands on feel for myself. How much longer will you be hosting the GB. Maybe ill just get one and see how i like it!

    Hey Guys,

    Here are some install pics!

Let me know if you guys have any questions!

    Some updates are to come.

Eventually a car I'm finally satisfied with. Currently working towards getting W/M (sadly had to throw out some cash for some unforeseen issues), then getting some custom tuning done.

Btw, the pictures look quite sexy.

We will have something similar to the V8 launch assist. Right now I have to drop the clutch at like 7k for a decent launch LOL.

Right now we are working on some options that are more proprietary. I will be able to release more information about this as we get closer because I am sure we will keep changing avenues as we go on.

Thanks! I have found that having a car that your are "satisfied" with often never comes because you are always wanting more.

    Hey Guys,

One of the most common questions we get is how much flywheel "chatter" you get when upgrading to our JHM Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo for the B7 A4 2.0T. Because we get this question so often, I have put together a cabin noise video with the JHM Lightweight Flywheel and Clutch Combo installed with it completely silent inside of my car (windows up, AC and radio off) so you can get an idea on how little noise the lightweight flywheel actually makes.

    Video:

Like I state in the video, it takes having to purposely shift into a high gear at a low speed to really bog the engine to make the lightweight flywheel make any kind of intolerable sounds. However, you will experience very similar results when bogging your engine with an OEM heavy dual-mass flywheel as well. Those of you who have a Test-pipe or some sort of aftermarket exhaust (completely stock exhaust in this video) will more than likely never hear it and if you have your windows down, AC/Heater on, or even your radio at moderate levels you will most likely not notice it either.

For those of you that are local, I would be more than happy to take you for a ride to hear it first hand!

If you have any questions, please ask! I am here to help.

hey jake how does everything hold up at 7k launch i was too afraid of breaking something. i have all the same mods as jake and my flywheel chatter is barely noticeable. I am very happy with all jhm's products. I put them all on at the same time and have almost ten thousand miles on them and almost a year( no problems yet). I am waiting for the tune to come out to see how it performs against my apr. Are you going to panda tomorrow night jake?

Hey dude, long time no talk!
Everything holds up good! We are working on a launching feature for our 2.0T Tune. Of course! Me and the guys are meeting up at JHM at 7:45pm and then rolling out. You planning on coming too?
