Only the ECU was tuned. The CVT seemed to shift relatively quickly on its own.

Yea... I'm hesitant on my tune upgrades as I keep reading that the cvt can't handle the additional power that well. also found a guy on here who swapped in a S4 trans.

The B6 A4 had a pretty unreliable CVT. However, in the B7 we have seen them last much longer. There are even users on this forum that has gone over 200k miles with their CVT.

Good to hear!! I'm just at 70k mi so I'm hoping mine will go the distance.. Especially once I start with mods
