Oh also...my shifter has this squeaky noise when I go side to side...is that normal? or do you think some of those delrin bushings got misaligned or need more lube?

Can you identify what part of the assembly the shifter is coming from? All the parts come lubed but if they are going in and out a lot it can need to be relubed.

You will want to use an all weather petroleum based lube. The stuff we use is SIL-GLYDE

I'm a huge fan of what you guys are doing for our platform. I feel like there's still a huge fan base for the B7 but there was a bit of a void in tuning companies dedicating new, high quality products to us. I just got my second B7, my first being a tiptronic I had for 2 years and this one being a 6 speed, and I'm really excited to start upgrading components with your company's products. I'm currently running a K0R with RAI test/down pipe and AWE exhaust, but I'm definitely like the exhaust you guys just put out and I'm interested to see this big turbo upgrade you guys are developing.

    A few questions for you:

    1) Do you plan on upgrading your clutch from stage 1 to 2 or 4 with the new turbo? Or is the stage 1 sufficient for your plans?
    2) In your drag racing videos, did you do anything in terms of weight reduction to help with those times? Remove rear seats, minimum gas, etc?
    3) Do you have ESP on or off for your launch? (I've just started practicing launching my car, you seem to nail it)
    4) Will your turbo package you're developing use the test/down pipe you guys just released or will it use a separate one due to the position of the turbo? If it uses a different one I might hold off on buying that test/down pipe.

    Thanks.

Pretty sure he launched the hell out of it using the built in launch assist in the jhm tune. Correct me if I'm wrong though Jake. And I'm sure if the new turbo needs a different test pipe they would make it in a way that would mate up to the downpipe they make.

Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words! To answer your questions, I as of now I don't plan on upgrading my clutch as the stage 1 has the ability to hold more power than a lot of these 2.0Ts even make. However, if I get into the bigger power levels I will use this disc and demonstrate the limits of it. (considering I launch the car a lot). At JHM, we strongly believe that all of our 1/4 mile runs need to be done with not major weight reduction. The only thing I removed from my car was the spare tire. However, we do make lightweight parts to help with acceleration and performance. ESP MUST be off when launching, or else the car is just going to apply the brakes and cause other issues. That being said our launch assist makes launching a breeze! We haven't decided if we are going to make a completely new test pipe, or make an adapter to run the current one. More info on that to come!

Yup, JHM LA FTW! If we decide to go the adapter route, you can use our current test pipe. However, our DP-Y will definitely be the same .

I get enough headaches with just one turbo, the last thing I need is to add another level of PITA to my car.

I like your thinking! But given that turbos are more efficient up top, and chargers down low, I propose the system have both a charger and a turbo rather than two chargers.

All you need to do is get two different size Centrifugal blowers, and have the smaller one's pulley on a centrifugal clutch so that it will disengage at a certain RPM so the power of the larger blower won't overspin the smaller unit .

I like it, but I don't think it will make a blower more efficient than a turbo at the top end. So I say we combine the ideas, still use the clutch on a small blower, and have a big turbo up top. :) That is basically what VW did on the 1.4L variant, but with an electronic clutch.

We have a local customer with our CVT tune, JHM Test Pipe, and JHM DP-Y with a modified stock B6 S4 catback (fwd cars have a different gas tank than quattros) and that thing is quick! It was nearly as quick as my car. I was VERY impressed with it.

Only the ECU was tuned. The CVT seemed to shift relatively quickly on its own.

Yea... I'm hesitant on my tune upgrades as I keep reading that the cvt can't handle the additional power that well. also found a guy on here who swapped in a S4 trans.

The B6 A4 had a pretty unreliable CVT. However, in the B7 we have seen them last much longer. There are even users on this forum that has gone over 200k miles with their CVT.

You will want to use an all weather petroleum based lube. The stuff we use is SIL-GLYDE
