    part 10 is the controls

747 is for left, rev none for without memory, rev B for with memory
748 is for right, rev C for without memory, rev B for with memory

That's really odd how that unit lists all the revisions. I take it the indent is suppose to mark the one it actually is? Guess it simplifies cover plate inventory management.

So looks like the wiring harness would be 8T0 971 366 D for left hand drive power without memory (3L5). (3L4 = power with memory for driver)

So yep. I've had good experience with Wolf in the past, though they are here in the US. Not sure if there's a more local source considering your location.

    S4 seat swap - D.I.Y.

Hey guys so I just picked up some beautiful b8.5 s4 seats. My car is a b8.5 but the build date is 12 so I unfortunately have the b8 airbag plug. I de-pinned all the connectors and the b8 is male and the b8.5 is female. Does anyone know the name/part number or where I might be able to get just the electrical terminals?
    Thanks!IMG_0177.jpgIMG_0178.jpgIMG_0179.jpg

So you're changing the B8.5 seat harness plug to match the B8.0 floorboard harness socket? So you need the part number for the B8.0 seat harness plug?

    https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...1#post14640465

So you've removed the 4H0 972 773 A and want to now use 8J0 972 576. I have to assume the terminal pins are the same, as people have done this connector swap before.

Yes, I’m swapping the B8.5 harness plug to match the B8 floorboard harness. I already have the connector, I took it off my old seats. The issue is the B8 seat harness is male terminals and the B8.5 seat harness has female terminals.

So it’s not a direct swap, I don’t want to use any splice any airbag wires so I’m just looking for new terminals.

So I found the part number for the repair wires with the correct pins. I’m hoping to find just the pins so I don’t have to cut my harness and solder these on.

Oh, interesting. I hadn't noticed anyone before bring up that they changed the terminal gender orientation also as part of the B8.0 to B8.5 connector change. I noted in my linked post how the front and rear seemed to have been inverted with the change. So the rear airbags retained the same gender orientation as B8.0 front and rear had (female pins on the floor, male pins on the airbag), while the fronts swapped sides (to male pins on the floor, female pins on the airbag).

000 979 035 E seems to be MCON 1.2mm male pins. The A on the end means gold plated. So you should be able to find gold plated MCON 1.2mm male pins for cheap in any number of places. Digi-Key, etc.

Just in case anyone is having the same problem I was having here is the solution.

If you have a B8 and want to install B8.5 seats the airbag connectors are different. The B8 seat plugs are male connectors and the B8.5 are female connectors.

I wanted mine to be OEM as possible so you will need new pins, This is the pins you need https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...9343615d4cddec
    Image1667170469.769290.jpg

You will now need to de-pin the B8.5 connectors and cut off the pins.

Then crimp on the new one, apparently I forgot to take more pictures when installing the new plugs lol but this is the end result

    No more airbag light!

    2014 S5 Cab to 2013 S5 Coupe seats

    I have a 2014 S5 Cabriolet:

    Comfort Seat
    Heat
    Perforated leather Ventilation
    Neck Heat/Blower

I picked up a set of 2013 S5 Coupe: Sport Seats.

I assume early 2013 as the airbag connector was the old style. I spliced my old connector and no airbag fault.

I would like to get the heat working. My original GREEN connector has 3 wires. Coupe has 4 wires.

There are also differences in the BLACK and RED connectors.

I have it plugged in and seat motion and lumbar all work.

(The perforated Milano leather on both front seats developed big splits on the seat bottom. The passenger seat with is rarely sat in by my wife, and of one in a while has stuff sitting on it also developed a split)
