stock clutch on stage 1 tune

So I'm thinking about getting my car tuned soon as I'm on a stock tune right now. Did some searching and didnt find much but how would a stock clutch with 132k miles on it hold with a stage 1 tune? Right now my clutch holds fine. Even when I quick shift which I dont do often. or Launch which I've never done. My passenger side turbo is whiny but its been like that since ive owned the car ~10k miles and who knows how long it was howling before I got the car... I plan on just putting in some used K03's afterwards just because I cant afford to go with a bigger setup and kind of dont really want to due to a handful of reasons. I would probably just tune it. rape it until the turbo popped. pull the engine and put in a clutch and some new-to-me K03's than baby it again.

    thoughts?

Understanding your problems is you first step towards breaking addiction.. A job well done by you.

A stock clutch will probably hold as long as a turbo, so yes. You have a great plan. You can look at stage 3- set ups, much more affordable. That way when you get the money, you can goes full stage 3 without pulling the motor again.
    Best regards,

    ^This

Go 3-, you wont regret it. Your clutch will hold Stg. 1 just fine if you don't launch it all the time. I'm Stage 2, stock clutch, 140K miles and I drive it hard.

You're not going to want to go from Stock -> Stage 1 -> Back to stock. If you are actually on stock clutch disc at those miles then you'll tear it up pretty quick after going stage 1.

Whether you stay with K03s or move to FTs (best budget turbos), you should probably at least look into RS4 pp/clutch combos or even SB Stage 3 / CM FX400 if you can spend a couple more bucks.

I am running a Stage II APR setup on a stock clutch. Have been driving it like that for more than 10K miles. I am not shy with the car, but I also DO NOT launch it. I like your plan! Stick with that idea and I believe you will be fine.

Thanks for the input guys. I think thats what Ill plan on doing. Who knows how well the turbos will hold which is my main concern. I dont plan on going back to stock once I tune it. Ill stay on a stage 1 tune until I decide what to do next. I daily drive it and it's my only vehicle so weeks of down time and a full stage 3 build arnt in my greatest interest.

Stock clutch usually only lasts a bit longer than 100k miles on stock tune. The fact you are at 132k miles on the stock one means its going to go soon anyway. You WILL destroy the stock clutch fast on stage 1 tune, followed by the turbos eventually.
RIP Daz, you will be missed.
