Alright guys, long story short I am getting a set of Nitto NT421Q's. These are the ONLY sizes i can choose from, which ones should i go with? I have the stock 17" double spokes on my 03 allroad.

Can't see what sizes those are, keeps just going to the mobile site. But I would go for like a 235/45 or a 225/45 if they are available.

225/60R17 is the only size of the group I would even consider.

I think the other 2 sizes you listed would be too tall.

^ isn't 60 the highth? The 225,235, etc is the width if I'm not mistaken.

no. its a ratio, called the "aspect ratio" it basically means one sidewall is 60% of the first number (which is the width in millimeters) so as you go wider, the tire gets proportionally taller too. so to run a 255, he would probably want a 255/50 if it were an option.

even the smallest option which is the 225/60R17 is already about 1" taller than stock.

Which would be roughly equivalent to a 215/65R17 which will actually be similar in height to a 225/60R17

    Whats your point?

Since we are posting random pictures... This is a 245/40R19:

    yea that was me . . .

the 225/60 was a good size, dont see why a 235/60 shouldnt fit, might have rubbing issues on the hub assembly

Go to this site, enter stock size tire and it will show you all available sizes wit proper rolling diameter... and remember, so long you have all four wheels the same, don't be shy going up to 3% more or even more below it if you really want/have to.

    went with the 225/60/17.

    level 1 with stock tires

    level 4 with stockers

    level 1 with new tires

    level 4 with new

They seem to fit the wheel wells pretty nicely and don't rub at all. the 235 would have probably cleared, but it would have been close.
