Looks great. It sounds good too but I was expecting a little more of a grunt. Sounds very race-like which isn't bad, just different.

I would agree with the above comment. I like it just wasnt expecting that "race" like high rev sound of some of the v10s or 12s.

Hey guys. I wanted to chime in here because this video really only shows you how it sounds like with the valves open and it gives you an idea of what it sounds like but its not a 100% accurate representation of how it sounds in person. We have recently installed one and it sounds very much like an R8 V10 in the higher RPM's and a B7 S4 or RS4 at the the lower RPMS with a Milltek exhaust with the valves open. Its like the best of both worlds. The volume is that of an R8 V10 with the valves open. Its probably the loudest exhaust on the market but its not race car loud. Its truly a beautiful exotic sound with the valves open. With the valves closed it shares the same note but with reduced volume. Significantly reduced volume.. Its pretty close to the stock exhaust volume with the valves closed. I would recommend this exhaust to anyone who wants the best of both worlds. Tame and quiet when you want it and louder and exotic when you need it.

If we are talking about the RS5, the vehicle comes with a switch from the factory that you can open and close the stock exhaust valves with at anytime. It looks like you have an S4 so in your case the exhaust would come with the switch included in the price of your particular exhaust which is hand made to order for your specific vehicle btw, but we are very creative here in the shop and can mount it anywhere you want. You want it where your cigarette lighter is, no problem, you want it mounted in the tray but next to it so you can still use the power outlet to charge your phone, no problem we can fabricate a plate that holds the switch in place firmly and paint it black to match the tray. Sweet. I would say as soon as you order the RS5 and if this is the exhaust you want for it I would place an order as soon as you've confirmed your order for the RS5 because even though these exhausts take a week to build, there are already lots of existing orders in the system. HMS is very well organized and they have blocked off certain weeks for us in advance so right now the next available build weeks are Week 29, 31, 35, 39, 43 as of today.
