So Ive been having some issues with the car goin nuts and stalling. I narrowed it down to the throttle body so I replaced it today. Sure enough still having the same issue. Best way to describe it is I hear a clicking sound then I loose all throttle control and the car eventually stalls. The reason I know it has something to do with the throttle body is when the car dies I pop the hood and I can hear the fast clicking sound coming from it. Its a whine the click click click click goes on of awhile then stops. The car does not start while its clicking but once it stops the car starts just fine idols fine and drives until the issue surfaces again. I re calibrated the TB it with VAGCOM and still having the same issue. Thanks guys.

Check the ground post for a loose connection. It's under the coolant expansion tank on the fake firewall.

I saw a youtube video illustrating some troubleshooting on an S4 a while back and the symptoms sound the same. In that case it was a bad ground putting a lot of noise into the sensor circuit. They ended up fixing it as ilyafil suggested and tightened the ground connection on the firewall.
