Agreed. I looked at it once I got home, and it had to of fallen off. Like you said, the adhesive is PERFECT, and there we're no pry marks or anything. I guess I'll just be debadged for a while.

Clutch upper position switch went out. Had to make a temporary spacer to get it to work until a replacement comes in.

I'm having a problem with mine that seems like the gas pedal is being pushed when it isn't. Haven't really searched yet but figured I'd ask to see if your symptoms were similar. Mine isn't really between shifts. I drive and I let off the gas and it's like the car will keep powering along on it's own like I'm pushing the gas. For instance I was in a parking lot today driving in second gear and I let off the gas to go around a speed bump and the car continued to accelerate. I know it's normal to power along on it's own slightly but mine seems excessive.

I really only noticed it when shifting gears. When you disengage the upper clutch pedal switch the throttle plate closes rapidly so the RPM's can drop. If you don't disengage the switch the ECM assumes that you are only lifting off the throttle but intend to continue cruising along. Do you use your cruise control? If not, try using it it. If you can engage it the upper clutch pedal switch is functioning properly. If you can't get it to engage the then the switch isn't being made properly.

I haven't used it probably in the past week or so but I have used it. I'll try it out again to make sure it does still work. I did have the link you posted bookmarked before I even had a manual transmission because that issue seemed to come up a lot. I was hoping there might have been a relation even when not switching gears. I should really do a throttle body reset but man is it cold out there again today!

Here's something else that you can try. Put the gear shifter in neutral and let the clutch out. Rev the motor and observe how fast the revs drop. now do the same thing with the clutch pedal depressed. The revs should drop noticeably faster with the clutch pedal depressed. If they don't it's a pretty good indication that the switch isn't working properly. Read Keith's observations on the subject: Clicky click

Got in the car this afternoon to the power steering pump whining. Stopped and checked the level and wasn't even on the stick. Filled it up, but guess I'll be searching for the leak.

It sounds like in your case it very well may be your clutch switch.

I'm making a 500 mile road trip today. turn the car on this morning, only to find that the radio wouldn't turn on. of all the days to have no music, fuck that!

did a little research on the highway, so when I stop for gas I pulled the radio fuse and put it back in. that fixed it. jammin on I-75 now!

My suspension has got more harsh recently, like in the last 5k miles. Currently at 92,000, 2004 A4 1.8qt USP. Tires are EAGLE GT's 235-40-18.

Its bone jarring hitting bumps sometimes. I haven't done much research into it, but it seems like the life of a shock is right around 90k, so they should be replaced.

Since my wife and I have decided to keep this car for the foreseeable future, what shocks/coils can I install to make it ride comfortable but sporty, more of an emphasis on comfortable though.

    Are ST coils proving durable?

Also thinking about Koni yellows, or the ECS cup kit.

    Any input is appreciated.

I absolutely adored my ST's. I had them cranked almost all the way down and the ride was still great compared to my OEM sport suspension. No complaints here .

They were well worth the money for me. I'm actually selling mine next wknd.

Seemed like I was getting the same reaction with the clutch out and depressed. I couldn't really tell a difference in the way the revs were dropping, seemed pretty similar. I also checked to make sure the cruise control still worked and it did.

I would check the boots around the tie rod ends first. If it's leaking there, it's time for a new rack.

Oops! I left out one important detail. The car has to be moving when you when you do it. Get up to speed and put the shifter in neutral. They try it with the clutch in and out. You will definitely feel a difference if the clutch upper switch is working properly.

You mean the current ones are streaking? Or are you not getting enough fluid from the squirters?

The Aeros are really worth the price. One of the best upgrades I've done.
