CEL came back on. Then when I stopped for gas the dang thing decided it doesn't want more than $2 of fuel at a time. :banghead:

For me, it's not so much "what went wrong today" as "what stuff have I been meaning to do and putting off for too long?"

Right now, that list stands at:

1) Replace rusted/seized right side e-brake cable.
2) Replace stock DV with 710n.
3) Get airbag light to go away again. (Probably caused by the connector under the passenger seat, as I already took care of the driver's side one, which made the light go away for several months.)

I've got all the parts I need, but I need to acquire a set of jack stands before I'll be able to do 1) and 2). I also need to review the DIYs for both of those to ensure I've got all the appropriate tools (I *think* I'm mostly good on that, but w/o the jack stands, I'm at a standstill.)

If anybody's got a recommendation for a good, safe set of jack stands that won't break the bank, I'm all ears. It'd be double good if Sears, O'Reilly, or Autozone carries them, as that would make picking them up locally easy.

Mine started to do the same when I replaced it. So my guess is on the wiring. My car isnt consuming oil at all so I have no worry, but the display is very annoying lol.

Things that went bad since 2 or 3 months:

-Tie-rods (both sides)
-Steering rack's boots
-Power steering pump
-Power steering oil line (the one at 330$!)
-Fuel filter
-Evap system (deleted the active coal filter, no more problems, I wasnt able to put more than 2$ of fuel at a time)
-Suspension, replaced for coilovers
-A/C compressor
-Almost all sensors around the engine
-Injectors

Well, I think this is it, now it's running like new, I really hope I'm good for a while. My wallet cant take anymore lol.

This was technically a few days ago, but whatever...

Went over a dip in the road, and my rear suspension made a huge thud. Then I heard a whooshing noise. Pulled over. The damn wheel-well liner was dragging! I guess my wheel snagged it. I've got no gap back in the back, and slight gap up front ('02 sport shocks with eibach springs).

Pulled the wheel and did my best to put it all back together.

bad idea, pull the all the bulbs out on that circuit and put them in one at a time until the fuse pops, then you'll know where to start looking.

it did it yesterday when i put them in along with my s4 parts. fuses popped so i pulled the s4 stuff out and put my old platinum and old bulbs in and everything worked. so i switched out bulbs/led's one by one in my platinum sunroof control and everything worked. so i switched back to the s4 sunroof control and led's and it magically worked all day and night afterwards.

this morning fuse is popped again and no interior dome lights.

Nothing on the way to work and hopefully nothing goes wrong for a long time, as in at least 3 months LOL.

The gas thing happened to me before, except I couldn't get any gas in, scared me to death then I realized I have to take the cap off and let the fumes escape for like 10-20 secs before filling up. Also, the nozzle never locks on so I have to always hold the pump or else I get the loud sound of the gas flowing in.

turbo bolts keeps on getting loose -_- dont know what else to try....already changed them to stud and used those fancy locking-washers but still no luck. I even used a little JB weld as a last resort and they didn't hold up too.

This past week one of my 550cc injector top o-rings decided to leak and both of my front window regulators broke. Cost me $65 for the regulators and $0 for the o-ring. Also took me 10 mins to fix the injectors but about 2 hours for the stupid regulators.

Possessed sunroof kept opening and closing on its own

Hard shifted 1-2 and it felt like my engine is not being held at all, the movement was terrible
Radio froze. Lights on, nobody home. Pulled and replaced fuse back to normal
Steering wheel sounds like a spring is very angry when I turn the wheel..... no clue yet on that one
Exhaust noise level is increasing. Wasnt nearly this loud when I first installed test pipe....... no clue on this one either.

I was just going to suggest a "what broke on your b6 today" thread.
this thread takes the cake.
lets see. ...
blew off rear coolant hose sunday on the way home from the car show. put on some wet gloves, man'd up clamped her back, filled her up with water and drove'r for an hour and a half home.

and on a side note, here is a short list of things I need to fix on my car
- abs module,
- g85 steering angle sensor.
- gas tank cap,
- charcoal canister
- hood locks, and closes but doesnt arm the alarm.
- coolant is all water needs to be replaced.
- trunk is not opening properly.
- wires going to the doors are cracked.
-rust on the front fenders.
- stone chips on the vinyl.
-timing chain advanced one tooth.
- tires have ridiculous camber wear.
- coilovers are all blown.
- spc upper arms have ripped boots and have almost smashed through the top of my wheel well..
- brakes are warped due to no abs, edl, etc.
-also about half of my "lifetime" LED's are dead.
