decided I wanted to update the system in both cars.

Alpine ILX-W650 and the KTA450 will show the before and afters of the updated units.


If any one has some speaker suggestions I would love to hear it.

installed the lower end focal and found it to be too bright, so I decided to step it up, got to get them installed and will put in my thoughts.

So you have to buy a separate amplifier? I was under the impression that either the radio had one integrated or the factory one in the car would work by just plug and play with the enfig kit.

I bought the alpine class d amp and I'm running the speakers off that, as well as the Audison Class D Amp for the rest of the speakers, the two subs under the seats are self powered.

this is not really a plug and play set up.

Oooh I see. I have no radio installation experience so Ill have to do more research on what I'll need for this mod. Why can't you wire all your speakers to 1 amplifier?

the amp in the radio is not enough power for what I wanted.

I wish there was a way to take the modern CarPlay head units and have the edging of the screen matte, Vs the gloss mirror black they all use. Would make it flow that much better.

I don't see why not but I would check with Recaro.

The resistors have nothing to do with what seats you put in, as they interface with the car side of the harness. It's a simple resistor contained in an airbag plug
