Tried to get my hazard switch apart, unfortunately it appears to be designed in such a manner that the circuit board is captive once it is assembled (6 pins are soldered on that hold it permanently in place, thanks to the design of the housing). I can't get at the circuit board itself without entirely disassembling the switch, so I'm pretty much dead in the water.
If I'm feeling destructive later I might attempt to desolder the pins, but as I don't have much experience desoldering anything, I probably won't bother. Looks like I'm falling back on hacking up the wiring harness to wire in a standalone relay.

In Europe, we have position lights and turn signals. I wanted to mean the turn signals only flash there, so you can downsize the resistors in term of wattage.
If signals are assumed to be always on, take margin regarding the wattage according to the heat dissipated in warm weather.
