C5 A6 Drivetrain

Does anyone know how much power the stock drivetrain can hold. I have a 6 speed manual and I want to know how far I can take it with out breaking it.Thanks for any help.

There's alot more to the answer for that question. Poorly driven the drivetrain can't hold up to stock horsepower. But smartly driven you'll run out of money modifying your car before your drive train blows up.

Exactly. My bother f'ed his trans letting his girlfriend learn stick on a stage 1 car. I tracked the hell of my cars even run nls with stage 3 power and they are all still ticking along seemlessly.
