    Engine Seizing with 2006 A4 Quattro S-line

    Hi everyone,

I am a fairly new Audi owner and love it. However the other day i started my car up after work and on the little screen on the dashboard the notification said "Oil Pressure." So naturally i turned the car off, popped the hood, and checked the oil level. The level was within the reasonable range so i closed the hood and started the car back up. The notification was still there. I sat for a while trying to figure out what could have happened and after the car warmed up it went away. So naturally, i started driving. Midway home the notification display came back on as well as the EPC indicator light. A few seconds later the engine shut off and wouldn't start. I took it into the mechanic today and he told me that the engine had seized and that i needed a new one.

Anyone else experience the same / a similar problem with their '06 A4? If so any input would be great!

And if anyone would know of a place that i could acquire an engine / have it rebuilt that would be greatly appreciated as well.

    Thanks.

Have you found out what caused the engine to seize?
My '08 A4 is in a very similar situation and I'd like to gather as much info to understand what happened and why it happened.
    TIA!

oil and car shut down problem

I have a 2009 Audi a4 and the car kept closing at low rpms and ive basically rebuilt the engine because the engine siezed before and it was working fine until it hit 130k kilometres, it started using alot of oil and started closing at the low rpms so thinking it could be oil pressure fuel pump, what do you guys think?
