Engine troubles..Possible DV failure or worse?

    Vehicle is a B7 A4 2.0t 64k miles

I went to drive the car the other day and not even 20 seconds from leaving my house the Low Oil Pressure light came on. I immediately turned around and shut it off. Came out the next day and started it and there were no lights on the dash but it was making a horrendous knocking noise from what seemed like the top of the engine. After a couple minutes the noise went away completely. Oil level was fine also.

I test drove the car and it drove fine until I pushed the accelerator down a little bit and noticed I wasn't getting any boost at all. Just feels like a dead spot in any gear or any rpm.

Just to note I wasn't not having any issues the previous day before this happened. Possibly could have been experiencing little lack of boost but I've only had the car for a couple months so I can't be to sure about that.

Could this be a bad DV or Turbo or is my engine toast completely?

    Thanks in advance.

No boost is most probably a boost leak. Check/replace boost hoses first. Possibly DV too. Otherwise considering the cold weather it is normal to sound rattly until fully warmed up. By warm up I mean at least a half hour drive on twisty roads, hills, highways etc.

Not uncommon for a hose or two to be worn at that age/mileage. I've put forge silicone hoses on mine and not had to replace a hose in over 60k miles
