Turns out i received a 90° fitting with a 1/8" npt on one end and a -3an fitting on the other when I need a -4an fitting. Oh well, one more day to start it.

Other than that she just needs a front bumper and headlights........

The oil feed line fitting does not fit the 90 degree fitting that I was sent that is suppose to fit into the turbo. Any body know what size I need here........Max........anyone?

Other than that she just needs a front bumper and headlights........ and I'm so pissed off I didn't take any other pictures. Sorry.

This sucks! But at 10:30 at night it was probably best to stop and have a clear mind after getting the right fitting. Good luck. Now you have time to take some pics.

Here are some quick pictures I got while working on the s4 yesterday:

    02 heat sinks:

    Current progress:

I know it looks messy, that will get taken care of as soon as I know she runs properly!!

Also, I shaved my intake manifold post as much as I could and my injectors still move up and down about 1/8", I suggest to everyone: get that hats and spacers! It's not worth the hassle to shave the fuel rail mounting post and then have the injector still not fully seated..... I will be purchasing the hats and spacers today.

I just used the clips for my install of injectors.
No hats needed with the Int fuel rails.
    You should use clips regardless

That is what he should have received, a -4AN to 1/8" NPT.

It appears you received a -3AN to 1/8" NPT. For the sake of time, it may be easier to source that locally, and when you get a chance you can drop the wrong fitting in an envelope and we'll give you a credit.

Appreciate the patience as we work through the little kinks.

Pretty sure I have one if you want it. Though it will not get mailed until tomorrow. Otherwise try a hydraulic shop they'll have them.

"AN fittings are a flare fitting, using 37° flared tubing to form a metal-metal seal. They are similar to other 37° flared fittings, such as JIC fittings, which is their industrial variant. The two are interchangeable in theory, though this is typically not recommended due to the exacting specifications and demands of the aerospace industry. The differences between them relate to thread class (how tight a fit the threads are) and the metals used."

Yes I found the fitting locally.

You almost beat us to first start up; we got the new shop STK car started last weekend and tuning begins this week.

Keep us updated, and glad you were able to avert disaster with the fitting.

Thanks Max, I also understand that it was a simple mistake with the fitting. It's an easy fix. The most important thing is that all the hot pipes fit perfect! This is a very well made kit and I will recommend it as far a fitment to anyone. Next on the list is to test the performance

I also ordered my ev14 hats and spacers from 034 today! Also, where is the shop STK car's wiring harness? I need to redo the routing to make it look a little neater....

And was I suppose to recieve fittings for the -6an ss braided hose for my brake booster, because I didn't receive any fittings? I did not see the check valve either...

She idles nice. About 5 seconds in the PS pump starting whining and I thought my motor ate a bearing, that why I was freaking out looking around. Its all good though. I need to fix an oil leaking behind my cam sprocket... It leaking so bad that I think I may have forgotten to but the seal in.... we will find out shorty.

500-550whp, I don't really have a power goal though. If it feels fast, that all I care about..... butt dyno baby...

I installed rods for safety and peace of mind, not really to make a whole lot of power, but a 500awhp street car should be fun!

So how come the 2 things that are wrong with my car are the hardest to get tooo........ oh wait " because b5s4".....

I fixed the first headache.... my cam seal magically disappeared (cough cough... I forgot to reinstall the new one ) and now I have an IAT sensor circuit resistance to high..... Luckily my boost is set at WG pressure so limp mode won't affect me too much....

Does anyone know if the IAT sensor can be uninstalled with the intake manifold left on and the throttle body removed???? That would make me much happier!
