Are you switing to dual intank? If not, why the 4 wires for one intank?

Finally getting the new billet fuel tank hat installed (home made). Now that I know it fits perfectly, I'll see about getting a quote to make additional pieces.

The in tank return line fitting that drives the internal circulation tank pump can be massaged to accept 3/8" fuel hose. I chose to use SAE 30R10 submersible fuel hose to ensure I don't have any future issues since normal fuel hose will not last very long when submerged in fuel and Teflon hose is not flexible enough to fit properly in the tank.

Take the internal fitting and trim off the wings as shown below:

    Remove the rings

Get submersible hose (you can find Gates hose cheaper online, but I wanted it right away and my local NAPA had some):

The fuel gauge sender connector will accept standard blade connectors, so I chose to use them to mate with the Holley wiring bulkhead so I can easily remove the tank lid hat when needed. I crimped dedicated ring terminals on the 14 gauge wire for the fuel pump, not taking any chances there.

    All set to go in

Looks like I forgot to grab pics of the fuel pump wiring and the final fit of the billet tank hat. I'll grab those pics later along with pics of my new Earls Teflon fuel lines. Finally I'll be able to enjoy my car without smelling fuel odors!!!!

I decided to adapt to rubber hose for the last 8 inches of the return line to the tank hat connection since the rubber hose is more flexible than the PTFE stuff, this helped make the install much easier.

    Tank hat fitment is perfect:

    New teflon hose

Should have the rest finished up tomorrow

Posted a response to the VR6 build below, but somehow got discombobulated and posted it here. Post fail, was in case someone noticed my mistake.

I really can't wait to see how far you push this. So much hearsay about blocks cracking, any and all information on high horsepower setups is welcomed.

Blocks definitely crack, hoping mine holds together but I'm not super optimistic. We'll see soon enough. Car will be back on e85 for racewars this year. Should be a good time.

I just hope there are a few more cars on e85 this year. There were a bunch of k03 cars, a 4 cylinder mustang and cavalier last year

Just out of curiosity, if you were to start fresh with a 2.7t, would you still go single?

I'm still a ways out on taking my car to the next level, in the process of buying a house. But, after that dust settles I am planning on taking my car off the road for a while to take care of all the little shit, and go bigger.

I'm torn between a 6262 STK or just going Tial 770's.

For the amount of time and money it takes to go all out with this platform, I would go single for the advantages of being able to work on the car. The more power you make, the more often the car is going to have issues and components are going to fail more often. And it sucks being locked in with twins. With a single, you have the option of easily changing the turbo if your not happy with the power band...

If I was starting from scratch, I would ditch the 2.7 in favor of an O7k motor swap. It would be roughly the same money as a full 2.7 build/setup, but with the 07k you get the advantage of a lighter motor (100lbs), better packaging accessibility to the engine compartment, a modern head/valvetrain from the Lamborghini V10, and a block that can handle more abuse than an apb/bel 2.7.

Car is finally getting quick again. Thoroughly enjoying E85. Still more work to be done with the tune and then we can turn up the boost. I'm attending a local dyno day at PSIproformance here in Lansdale PA around 11am on Saturday May 7th if anyone is interested in coming out. Should be a good time. Can't wait to hit the drag strip sometime soon!

Fun with a B8 stage 2 on a race gas tune. First silver s4 was a F21 stock block e85 car with a daz tune. Next 2 runs are against my s4. PT6062 turbo, built heads, rods, e85, 30psi taper to 28psi for now, philadot tuning.

Local dyno day, did 711whp and 606wtq. Still need to do power tuning and up the boost. But this is a good baseline at 30psi on e85. I'll get the car to the drag strip soon.

Good work, that 6062 gives a really nice power band for a 2.7. What turbine housing A/R?

Any idea what happened after ~6.6K RPM? looks like the ECU had a freak out about something on both runs. Hopefully you can get that sorted as that will def. slow the car down a lot, not only that you would have kept making power as well if that didn't happen.

Yeah not sure what going on from 7K+rpm. I know we haven't done power tuning yet, boost is tapering off from 30psi to 27.5psi at by 7K and timing advance doesn't ramp up, its just flat across the powerband. Once we get power tuning done I'll hop back on the dyno for a comparison at 35psi to redline. Also only have E78 blend at the moment so hoping I can find some full E85 at the pumps soon.

It's all good to go. I am logging my fuel Ethanol mixture percentage and fuel temp, but I am still waiting on my tuner to implement the actual flex fuel code so the tune adjusts itself real time to varying ethanol percentages. He is working on it still.

Sick of the racecar exhaust all the time. I am going to try out a 3.5" X-force Varex muffler. I am leaving the center magnaflow 3.5" straight through muffler too. The varex arrives tomorrow, hopefully I'll find time to install it this weekend and give a review.

You can also reach out to Cinesnow for info on his setup, he added a valved muffler at the back that is vacuum actuated to stay closed during normal driving but opens up at higher loads. It really helps keep the car quiet when driving normally.

I actually was planning to modify the actuator with a K03 wastegate I have to actuate with boost. I'll have a check valve on the boost line so the valve stays open on shifts (this way it doesn't slam open and shut when driving hard). Then I'll have an electrically actuated dump valve to release pressure in the line, this will close the valve and quite the car back down.
