Got the unitronic downpipe installed at my usual shop and then flashed stage 2 ecu and TCU at home.

I had a few small exhaust leaks right after the first cat in the original downpipe so I took the opportunity to upgrade. So far, noise levels are the same from inside the car and slightly louder on cold starts. I was worried I might find it too loud but it's very much not the case, most people would not notice it's not stock.

Power increase is not massive but it feels a bit more sharp. Still haven't heard DSG farts though, please I wanted these :D

If anyone is still thinking about this specific upgrade for our cars, this is pretty soft in the realm of performance upgrades!

Replaced my rear sway bar this weekend. Let say the old one was less than perfect after 15 years in New England weather.

Saved this non S-Line quattro from the scrapyard/being parted out for less than the cost of four new tires. Previous owner couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t run, I’ve already charged and tested the battery, and found that the starter has gone bad. New starter, ignition coils, spark plugs on the way to hopefully get her running.

Nice! I daily mine now 09 S-line Quattro with pano roof and Bose. I sold the 8V couple weeks ago.

The 8P was little unstable when I switched lanes on the highway. Replaced all rear control arms and hardware. 15 years in New England everything was rusted and seized. I did rust treatment for the underbody and subframe, epoxy primer and underbody liner. This should protect it for couple more years at least. Did alignment yesterday and now the car steers like new.. Now I need to replace the rear crash bar. It's completely rusted.

My daily has the entire 034 Motorsport catalogue, Unitronic K04, DSG Tune, and a bunch more stuff. It’s just about the perfect all-around car. This new one I’ve got some “not sold in North America” plans for

Ha Ha... I have full S3 body kit in the basement for 2 years now. With 5 Audi's and one VW in the family, something else always takes priority.

You should sell me the body kit.

You (R)nailed it. Hoping to score a decently priced salvage TTRS or RS3 to swap the drivetrain from.

Started chasing an oil leak yesterday. Turned out to be gasket for oil return line from the turbo. While I was under the car saw that the metal net on the downpipe flex section is all ripped off. The driveshaft has a little piece sticking out that was touching the net. I decided to replace the downpipe since I have new CTS in the basement. I also have spare turbo so will throw that one in as the car original turbo is with 195k miles. First challenge is the 4 downpipe flange nuts. One nut came out fine, second broke with the stud, third one is rounded and the last is out of reach underneath. So 10 minutes check is turning into a week long project.

    Threw the belt

Three weeks ago my tensioner pulley seized , no warning on a highway. It shredded the belt and overheeated slightly. I found a parking lot to park it and wait for the flatbed to take it 3 miles to the house. Replaced the tensioner, belt and two idlers. The heat blew out my hood strut seal was the first thing noticed. Then I discoverec my fuel economy was down 10%ish. Installed two new cam sensors and a crank sensor which have seemed to bring things closer or back to normal. The cam sensors I did in about an hour. The crank sensor I did when changing oil on ramps. This was about two hours. I figure next I'll change the thermostat , upper hose tee and temp sensor, maybe a new thermostat housing. That being said my VR6 is now at 92k miles in 18 yrs and runs well. The only things that are to be a big challenge are the lower rear shock bolts and new rear sway bolts.
