Has anybody here installed Driver Gear VW/Eibach springs from the TDI MKVI on an A3? Tons of GTI guys use this set up for lowering and retaining OEM comfort...
I'm going for it, wish me luck...

New KW Variant 1 coilovers and then wash / wax. Also added the sweet S-line tag frame last week. Should have went lower with the suspension, but it will look better once the OEM 17's are off and replaced with a larger wheel.

Freshly powder coated prismatic powders "cosmic gray". Going for that titan rs6 look. Think it came out pretty well.

Quick wash only but have scheduled a full professional detail with paint correction and protection package for later on in the week. Hopefully this will remove some of the lighter marks and give the paint some depth.

Monday I got state inspection done , tomorrow emissions test. Can get plates and Ohio title once the Illinois title get here.
Love the car , had TPMS sensor light on when I got it , checked tires , topped off air and used the reset button on dash . SOOOOOOOOOOOOO freakin nice to not have to borrow a sensor reset tool.
I have Vag-com access. My old laptop died , have trial version on this laptop but no 64 bit dongle.
Until I get that necessity straightened out I have a cheap univeral scanner thats updated to 2015 and does anything but ABS and SIR on all makes.
Also have a VAG service reset tool so I'll plug that into OBD port tomorrow and clear the service interval. Its overdue by 300 miles . Car was in for service in September so prior service wasn't reset before my purchase.

Stoked too . Its a blast , I'm the OG on a couple of other forums . Great to be here .
Today I was able to get emissions testing done. One more step to go and I can get title and plates.
Bought an oil filter Friday so I can start to service the car. Looked into what it will take for DSG service in the future.

The car is so freakin nice , I love it . My wife and daughter are even into it.
My kid has an A4 1.8t and is already sworn to Audi/VW for life at only 25 y.o. . Last winter she got re-Tweeted by Audi for a comment about her car being a beast in a bad winter snow storm.
She took the A3 out this weekend and came home telling my wife how fast it was and stopping on a dime.
Sadly the wife would like to drive it but just had rotator cuff surgery , so..... she has to wait 9 weeks.

That's the way to do it! haha I didn't have to raise my car thankfully, but its hauled some decent loads. Including a beetle engine.

It is indeed, I know up in Canada land in 2009 only 50 or so were sold. But even then at any given time there will only be one or two for sale across the country.

I need to get either a set of tires for the A3 or can replace just a pair if I keep within same make/type and 4mm . Has Conti ProContacts but I should be able to
buy a pair of the PureContacts instead , same RPM for each . Was looking at Pepboys instead of getting tires through work because of buy 3 get 4th free. They had the Falken pt722.
I've had ZE502 on one of our A4s and ZE950 on our Ford Edge. Very different tires so I'll like your review of the pt722.

Nice haha! I was pretty low on my coilovers, 24" GTF, it's now raised to 25 1/4" GTF, so now there's a slight wheel gap. The inside tread of the Hankooks were basically slicks. I know dropping it would give it camber, but it isn't much. Apparently it was enough to eat up the treads so much though.

I'll let you know once I put in more miles on it. But for the few days I've had it, I like it so far. Tread pattern of the Ventus V12 looked better though haha

Did you remove the front and rear fender tab's and screws that are always known to rub?

Mine looks about the same height as yours now. I'm running ET 45 I believe. I didn't remover any of the fender tabs.

I actually might have an issue with one of the ST Coilovers. the rear right coilover sits lower than the rest. The shop told me it's at its max height and it's about 1/2" lower than the rest. I contacted ST Suspensions about it and they need me to fill out a tech sheet, which means removal of the rear coil to measure, which equals labor from the shop of about $90 I was told. The shop said it's possible one spring might have been softer than the rest. I'm not too much in a hurry to get this done, so probably next month I'll get this sorted. I know if I get it replaced, there's more labor again for the install.

It's weird because when it sat lower before raising it, it didn't rub with passengers in the back. It was slightly raised and it rubs with people in the back when I turn. Perhaps because it's the new tires as well???

Drove it to the gym. I love this car. It makes me want to get a new one for myself but I can't let my b6 go.

Anyone else have an issue with reverse being jumpy?

Yup, amazing what new tires can do - my old Gti had old tires, no rubbing, but new tires on and had to raise the car.

Called audi of America to check on the recall status of the dsg mechatronic since I figured that is what's causing the clunking in reverse or it being jumpy. No recalls stated but the warranty extension is applicable. We will be taking it to the dealer to have it diagnosed.

New downstream O2 sensors (saved $450 buying and installing them myself). Finally learned how to remove struts and swap springs myself. Went with 340# in front, 350# in rear, with Ground Control height adjusters. Fiddled with ride height to get it evened out at 25.5" FTG. Winter wheels on, with new X-Ice tires.

still no turbo - other mods here

    nice job
I just bought TPMS sensors for my old wheels . Will run Swings or 5-spoke 16 inch wheels with the snows.
Not sure if they clear calipers with 45 offsets.
Got new wipers , cabin and air filters too.
