Parts list :
Hacksaw - I used this one with a handle from home depot

Amazing goop - I used this for the glue worked great

I also used this to fill in some of the gaps

So I started with a grill I source from scotty @ advance when he was parting out an allroad
I took off the outer trim prim piece

I started by cutting out one side at a time, I did not cut out the center piece where the rings go because it went from top to bottom and the hood release goes through there. The pic shows where I started my cut on the side.
The grill had those god awful chrome strips, you can still see the double sided tape also.

In this pic you can see the vertical slat that I cut on the bottom of the grill

This pic shows where I cut the top of the grill from the back, I used the dremel for this part actually but only to make the initial cut then I continued with the hacksaw. Please excuse my sorry attempt to mark the pic but it is the line furthest to the right of the pic.

After one side was out.

With both sides cut out.

Now you'll notice that the cut outs leave these spaces in the grill.

To fill in the gaps I took pieces of the grill that I cut out solder them in with an old soldering iron I had laying around.

So after sanding the pices that I soldered in, I made a cardboard template (sorry no pic) of the cut outs so that I could transfer it the the C6 A6 grill I picked up off ebay for $89.

Test fitted the first piece

Then the second piece

A quick look at what it should look like.

So this is what it looks like all glued together and ready for paint. I'll post again once it is painted and again when it is on the car.
