Ran across something interesting when looking through a VW forum. Folks have been talking about using BG Universal Synthetic ATF (BG 312) product. Apparently when they've been getting flushes or trans services at a dealership, the dealerships have been using the BG 312 ATF product instead of OEM fluid (the forum posters were surprised by this in most cases). I found an application chart for the product here. The BG paper says their fluid "meets or exceeds the performance requirements of the following ATFs:" and G060162A2 is listed on there. I think the BG ATF costs a lot less than the OEM stuff also.
I'm curious if anyone has called around to dealerships or service shops and heard they used BG ATF or if anyone has had a flush done with BG ATF and if their car still shifts out of park.
