Now I ended with a car with malfunctioning steering.

I hate the latest trend with car manufacturers for switching to electric steering on high performance cars to save a couple of mpg. I don't get any good numbers now anyway with last tank being 12 mpg! Audi should have left hydraulics on S cars and glad they did not add auto shutoff garbage at red lights that bimmers come with now. Its my opinion that pennies saved from it won't recover the cost of constant wear and tear on the starter and other mechanical systems.

I'll go the DSR route now and see if it is disabled by default. I don't commute to work with the car and mainly drive local during winter so I will wait and see how it is when weather gets warm(no issues under 50-55mph). I need it to track straight during summer weekend getaway/vacation long distance driving. I am going to call up AoA and complain until they get the proper fix without the damn side-effects. What pisses me off is that AoA and 2 local dealers I worked with act like they never heard of this issue before and they have no clue what is DSR. Instead of following up with surveys they need to spend some time here.

I am kind of regretting the 2014 and maybe should have looked for a low mileage 2012 CPOs like some people are suggesting here.

I think you should call BMW& Porsche and let them know. How could they overlook that? You think AOA should spend time here??? It usually takes about 5 pages of nonsense to get a fact. They would also track and catch all the guys that uninstall ECU tunes before service and re-install after. 48K works for me. If you had gone BMW you would have limp mode issues. There are problems with every manuf.
