Hi,

I know....ANOTHER ONE?

Still, it is my first time so will try to cover things the best I can.

I'm coming form a 2008 Audi TT FWD. It is a great car but after trying the new S4 at the Audi Driving Experience, I thought that it was time to get the following:

- Quattro
- 2-door coupe (sorry S4 fans but I did own a 2009 A4 and got bored after a while)
- V6 or V8
- Gadgets and space

Not much budget to play around so I traded in the audi TT for a 2009 Audi A5 3.2L S-Line auto. I could've gotten a S5 manual but the cars available at that time had high mileage and not in my desired color. Other factors were MPG and lack of warranty or options. Story short, find the right car in Ibis White with all options with 30K miles and still under warranty (plus CPO and Audi service records).

Future mods:

- S5 Rear Valance (keeping the existing one - not sure if I like the new valance more)
- Custom exhaust with quad tips (changed my mind and replaced with custom exhaust and 3.5" dual tips)
- Front and lower sides clear bra (ordered)
- Orange corners delete (ordered)
- Carbon trim (negotiating....quite expensive)
- Eibach lowering kit and spacers (Eibach: pending - Spacers: ordered 15mm F and 20mm R)
- VAGCOM updates (pending)

at first i was like...what a fckn asshole coming to our 5 forum and showing off his r8 xD

congrats! mod her up well. planning to keep the wheels or goign aftermarket?

Congrats, great car! I would also consider some light tint and going with coilovers instead of springs. Yea, that carbon trim is pricey. Consider wrapping it for a fraction. Enjoy and keep us posted

Had some time yesterday and worked on getting a DIY "Black Edition" ...

Blacked fog trims and grill:

Used Plasti-Dip (did the same thing with my Audi TT...)

Next: Windows trim...

Planning to keep the same wheels and putting some spacer in the next days - a drop after winter.

I will be doing light tint (~55%) after winter. Still not sure about the carbon pieces. to be honest, aluminum makes a nice contrast on all black interior. In regards to coilovers, dont want to spend a fortune on this - wife is getting freaked out :) but would love to get ST instead of Eibach Pro kit.

ActivS5 is the one with the gorgeous garage, correct? Already following that thread ;)

Here's a quick video for the exhaust:

Overall sound and WOT is AWESOME but still working on getting rid of drone at 2000-2200 RPM. 90% of my driving is on the hwy so drone is annoying after a while. Any ideas? I deleted end mufflers and kept stock resonator. In the meantime, I think I will put those back in until I find a good solution without spending $2K...

Dipped pieces look nice. Dipping the splitter is a nice looks as well. If you can swing the xtra $300-$400 for the ST's you will be so happy you did. Exhaust sounds nice and mean. If you change out your mid and upgrade to mid grade SS pipe you will be gold:)

Hi everyone...

Finally got the spacers - 15F and 20R. Couldn't find the H&R DRA but found a canadian provider with high quality spacers: http://novustech.ca. I went with the regular ones with extended bolts.

Got them installed today and pretty much "supervised" that they carefully clean those hubs. So far, havent noticed any vibrations or issues whatsoever - need to get on the hwy though.

Now to the pics:

The change is HUGE! I think it could even go 25mm in the rears...Front not sure.

Hey,

Yes, did it myself. It took me quite some time (3-4 hrs) to do it properly - it was my first time though

As mentioned, I'd rate it 92 out of 100 cause I'm not a pro. Tbh, I'm not even sure how much it will cost to do yours but I'd suggest to contact Autolinks first which has good reviews on wrapping high-end cars.

If you still wanna DIY, start by getting the vinyl from Shadowline and then we can talk about cost: Is $50k fair?

Got the Spintechs and Eibach kit ready :)

So war, I was able to install the mufflers but drone is still a problem :(

I will test having an U-Pipe or something similar to try to cancel the drone frequency.

Drone is 80% GONE! Spintech sound is AWESOME!
J-Pipes from Solo Performance did the trick but I need to play with the lenght a little bit more to get rid of it 100%

Dropped my car today - Eibach Springs

Quick review: LOVE the stance (26" from the ground) and ride quality is 90% stock. Cant complain :)
