wow.
As it should be.... lol
Unfortunately, skiing for me has become a solo activity. My usual ski group of friends all board. And while they are competent, they can't do the runs that I want to do at my speed or confidence. They also just don't have the stamina that I do, or keep up at my pace.
Typical boarders get off the lift, shuffle or skate to the side, sit down, click in to rear binding, take off, go about 1,000 ft, sit down in the middle of the run, get back up, go another 1,000 feet, sit down again in the middle of the run, get to bottom of run, stop, unclick binding, shuffle to lift line, etc etc.
Honestly, the most fun I have skiing now is I have been taking some expert advanced group lessons. It's awesome because at this level you not only learn from the instructor, but you learn from everyone in the group. It's a blast. But other than that, I typically do a run or two with the boarders, then take off and do my own thing. Then meet up after for mountain beers.
