did my slave cylinder go out?

So i was driving home last night and i was shifting from 3rd to 4th and i couldnt get it in 4th. so i slowed to go back to 3rd, couldnt do it. went all the way to a stop and i couldnt get it into any gear at all. So i turned off the car and i could shift through all the gears fine. i can only start it in neutral and cant shift to a gear. Its like im not even pushing in the clutch. My fluids are fine. when the car is off and i push in and out on the clutch i cant even hear the clutch clapping against the flywheel.
Anyone have any insite on this? slave? master? sensors?

He has a brand new clutchmasters fx400 and has been running it for a few months now so its highly unlikely that it's his pressure plate. Im assuming it's his slave, but as others have said I would bleed it first.
