    P2404 question

My Audi intermittently is throwing a p2404 code. I have replaced the n80 valve and gas cap but I keep getting the code. I am kind of stumped at this point without taking it to the dealer and see what is going on. I have the 2.0t and the cvt transmission.

    Thanks for any help.

Did you ever get this fixed? I have the P2404 Issue right now and trying to figure out how to fix it.

    Thanks,

    Ron

Ron, not sure if you have resolved your issue. I may have just resolved mine, so wanted to share my experience with you. I was also getting the same fault code and I had the LDP pump replaced, N80 valve, smoke test was done, no leak... It came down to a faulty ECM. Bought an used one on eBay for $40 then spent $350 at the "stealership" to have it sync'd and installed. It's been 3 days now, and the fault code hasn't came back. I was actually getting a different fault code when I got the car back, but it was because the throttle body needs to be realigned whenever the ECM is replaced. The stealership wanted to charge me for looking into the issue when should have done it as part of the ECM replacement service.

Thanks! I just swapped out the N80 valve and no luck. Really not looking forward to trying the ECM next but might be my next option.

Yeah. It was my last option too. Luckily I got a good deal on the used ECM. It's been a month and so far so good.

    Good luck!

is the issue still gone? Was the ECM really the fix? Mine keeps coming back and I'm looking at the ECM as the next step.

Seems to be the case for me. Haven't seem the error code since the ECU was replaced.

You two have different ECM's (3.2 vs. 2.0) and because it fixed his car doesn't mean it will fix yours, too. I say get it checked out by someone who specializes in Audi's instead of just throwing parts at it. Especially expensive parts.
