+1, I don't think the release has happened yet, but I'd certainly rather them take their time then release a product that was rushed to market.

I agree. These 13s are NOT fast stock at all. Your patience will pay off soon. I'm sure GIAC will come out with some news soon including base and S1 comparison dynos.

ok...down low is ok stock, but this car is simply just flat in way to many spots...which honestly doesnt make it a whole lot of fun to drive. And yes...I have driven Stasis V2 and APR 11 and 12's, and they pull pretty damn hard. Im just getting impatient with this whole tune thing. The car does not support the reported HP claims to my butt dyno any day i drive it.

    PB.
Flat is exactly what you want in a torque curve. There is nothing new here with the 2013. We know exactly why the torque drops off and why a tune nets 60+awhp. But if you think a 4000lb car running 12's stock does not support the reported 333hp, you need to do some math. Go to the back of any Road and Track and plot those 1/4 mile traps for a given power to weight ratio. Without ever rolling onto a dyno, it is obvious the 3.0 TFSI is severely underrated.

A $60k car is only as fast as the car you buy. There are plenty of more expensive and slower cars, and you certainly don't have to spend $60k to get a new S4. If you take the original MSRP of your B6, add the cost of your mods, and then adjust for inflation, I would be surprised if it is less than a comparatively equipped B8.5. In fact, the only new sedan I can think of that is both faster and cheaper is an SRT8, and that's probably only possible on a prepped drag strip. Even if you opened it up to coupes, I think you'd only add a base C6, ZL1 and GT500. There isn't a lot of cross-shopping going on there.

I would rather that the tuners, particularly GIAC under promised and over delivered rather than what they are doing -- It is really shitty marketing.

Well said. I respect tuners for all their efforts and products. But they tend to oversell things tpo much. Crappy marketing indeed.

The software is complete, we are just doing some final testing on it. Since these ECUs must be sent in, we chose to allow local customers get the software. This way, any updates could be done on site and would not result in further down time of vehicles while ECUs were shipped back and forth. We could have easily said nothing about it and there would continue to be a constant influx of threads asking "when will a tune be available for the B8.5." Further, we have already released the A6/A7 software which is widely known to be the same ECU family as the B8.5. Questions would have undoubtedly arose since we are selling that software already, so we chose to give everyone an update up front for it.

Based on the feedback I have received on the software, most are patient and excited that they will be able to enjoy their cars with software very soon. It seems being the first to crack the software and offer it can't please everyone, though.

Lastly, you are in L.A, you can come down and get software installed at anytime. Shoot me a PM if you would like to come down.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I apologize for being impatient -- I have the GIAC software on my E92 BMW and love it. PM sent

Yes, we do. Stage 2 will be available for all 3.0T platforms very shortly. GIAC customers will be very pleased, others not so much.

I'm not currently a customer of ANY tuner as of yet...... just a 2013 B8.5 S4 owner looking for a Stage II with pulley upgrade provider ...... are you my new home?

If that is the case, can you please post up a dyno chart for the new B8.5 S4 ECU?

Any dyno results for the B8.5 tune yet? I've had the GIAC flash for about two weeks and it is awesome -- smooth but very fast, especially over 3,000rpm.
