I was told that this is a 01X transmission with a trans code of ETQ. Supposedly, ETQ can be interchangeable with GJW based on what I found here:

My Ultrasport (along with other USPs) was unique for the first half of the 2004 model year. During that time, the only way to get a six speed manual transmission with the 1.8T engine and quattro was to get the A4 with the Ultrasport package. Six months later, Audi changed out the transmission for all A4s to go with the 02X 6 speed manual.
I now have a feeling that mine was assembled from the Audi spare parts bin at the factory. LOL!! What sucks is that this is now an uncommon setup, but I was curious if this might have been the same setup that was found with the BEX engine for the European S-Line package. I figured that Audi would want to simply use the same part for the Ultrasport until they changed it for all A4s.
GJW is the standard 6 speed for the B6 A4 1.8t which looks to have the 4.11 final drive. Is the 02X the 6 speed in the B7 2.0t which is code GVE?
