So my 2.8 blew, I've been driving a 1.8t in the meantime and I've really come to like it. I'm having trouble finding a good, cheap 30v so I'm thinking of swapping in a 1.8t. Longitudinal 1.8t's aren't that easy to find either, but there are tons of transverse 1.8t's for very cheap. I won't have trouble finding any required OEM parts because there are tons of partouts and junkyard cars that I can raid. Is this a feasible idea? I haven't seen much info, but what I have seen is I'll have to swap the oil pan, valve cover, accessories and other stuff. Is that all that's required or is there more to it? I know I'll have to go DBW, that's not an issues because I'm good with wiring. Also, do transverse motors have the same issues with auto/manual cranks not being compatible?
