Hose on rear of intake manifold blew off - lost brakes

In second gear accelerating today and the hose on the rear of the intake manifold, towards the left hand side blew off. Lost brake assist at the same time. Looks like the round portion that applies pressure to hold it down is cracked on one side so it does not stay on properly.

Looks like the hose it is attached to is shrunk fit around a fitting more towards the center of the manifold. The connection in question has been highlighted in the red box.

Is this connector easier to replace than it looks, or is there another method of solidifying it that is commonly used?

I believe the one for the brakes on the later style is smaller than the ones on the valve covers.

Buy this and solve any problems you're having now, and future issues that WILL arise from this POS factory hose.

The fitting you have circled looks to be for the DS valve cover. If you lost brakes it’s the hose to brake booster you want to look at/replace. I believe they have different styles late/new but here’s a picture of my setup hopefully it helps a little. It’s the hose on the left with the yellow valve at end.

Valve cover likely correct. I didn't look too closely on the side if the road. :)

That was prior to me JB welding the fitting back in. Yea I’ll trade ya it for a OEM RS4 Y pipe. Lol

Look at the one I pointed out also, that’s the one that would affect your brakes

The same thing just happened to me after installing a new PCV setup where one of the ports on the back of the IM was plugged. The plug blew and boost dropped quite a bit and I lost brakes etc.
