This is saying the drivers side rear o2 sensor has detected the catalyst is no longer performing a satisfactory job reducing emissions. Very unlikely a new sensor will fix it.

it only comes up at slow speed, and not all the time,

is this the main cat thats screwed or the pre cat? could i gut the pre cat and get a spacer?

If you have main cats, relocate the rear sensors to behind them. That'll get rid of the code, or try spacers, or a tune for that matter to remove them.
