Btw, I really enjoy reading your threads! Love the fact that you are able to get all your ideas from concept to prototype so quick! Hope some of this stuff makes to market in one way or another - perhaps buy extra billet?! :)

On the topic of re-grinding the 2.8 cams...I guess this to take care of the issue with too much overlap?
Forgot to reply to this sorry!

Regrinding RS4 cams... for more lift :-)

Will valve/piston contact be a concern with the new cams?

Why not the other way around and start with 2.8 and re-profile for less overlap?

How much lift are you planning on running btw?

Well you have to realize that the RS4 and 2.8 cams are near identical if not the same. So it's no different.
And getting less overlap is easy. Not that there really is much overlap difference.

And I can't tell you how much lift because I haven't decided yet haha ;-)

I've seen the cam data, and they are not the same - similar in some respects, but not the same! :) Ok, .010 more lift isn't that much, so I guess you are going for substantially higher lift than that! :)

I'm running stock suspension now but should have Coilovers coming this week... only STs though for now, can't afford a high dollar setup yet lol.
And the wheel is a 2012 TT wheel. Should look awesome!

Nice! Couldn't quite read the badge on the bottom. ST coils are a great ride for what you pay. That's what I've been running since February and I'm loving them.

Thats what mine are. Mine is pretty low though (24 gtf), riding higher makes them a bit more comfy. I suggest 25.5 for a good compromise of looks and still very great ride comfort.
RIP Daz, you will be missed.

I find it amusing that with all this stuff you've done to the motor and the stock fan is still in place. Get an EFK allready! Lol

So another difference with the RS4 block is the oil distribution block is different.
The RS4 has an actual cast in and machined oil passage so the block is different.
So I modified it since I didn't have the right lines anyway for the turbo and fitted fittings for the oil pressure gauge and the turbo

Does the belt stretch slightly over time and change these values slightly you think?
