Yes! That's awesome I'll be very interested to see Cosworth's take on 5 valve port geometry... they might have about the same inlet dimension as the 2.8 heads but they are a far different beast.

Yeah the opening of the port is the only dimension the 2.8 and rs4 heads share.
The RS4 port is actually very very similar to the 2.7 port I have designed. I'll see how close when I digitize the RS4 port.

Hmm, I've been trying to find a comparison of AZR to APB ever since the APB/BEL debate began.

I will fully document the block and everything that's different on it. It's pretty much a fully assembled short block as this point so hopefully the weekend I'll strip it down and show the details!

And for sure, I hope everyone shows up!

Decide by midnight.....or all heads will turn into pumpkins!

I THINK I would save the 2.8 for the main scooby, and run the RS4 just because I'd be curious. But I don't know. lol

They gonna be +1 intake? If so, I'd toss the 2.8s you have now on the temp motor!

Yepp the heads already cnc'd are getting +1mm intake and exhaust.
The 2.8 heads on the floor are stock size.

I'm thinking of going with the 2.8
The RS4 heads I have things planned for...

Coolant ports should be smaller on the RS4 heads. Will you be cutting any of them up?

They were only recently made available; previously Raceware was the only option.

The ARP's are much cheaper and a quality item. We carry them too.

Won't be cutting up the RS$ heads... they are in good shape so too valuable for me to use for R&D haha.

They are dirty but have been hand polished with a sanding roll... Cosworth either cleaned up the castings by hand or did cnc porting of the castings and then cleaned them up. But they have been smoothed out throughout the port.
Once I get them hot tanked I'll show you.

A little something I whipped up tonight:

It's a transition piece to allow a stock S4 manifold to be used on 2.8/RS4 heads.

Nice! And adds runner length! A lot of people tapered the old VAST phenolic spacers like that (in a much more crude fashion)

The manifold with have half or the transition itself. So it will be nice and smooth.
