    ACC Unavailable + Brake assist issue

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I've been having some issues with my adaptive cruise control as well as my brake guard.

    1 - as soon as I start driving, I'll get a notification on my dash saying "brake guard off". (This has never been like this and the brake assist is on through my MMI.

    2 - if I try to turn on cruise control, it shows "ACC Unavailable".

    I've checked the sensor up front and everything looks to be fine. I'd prefer to avoid the crazy dealership fees they have for trouble shooting this but I have no idea what to look at or test.

    Anybody have any ideas?

    Was that scan with a VAG-COM / VCDS?

    No, I'll do that and see what comes up. But I had it scanned with my buddies scanner and I had a lot of codes come up, but you think it wouldn't come up unless using a vcds cable.

    Yes, grab the WHOLE auto-scan and report back.

    Anything related to you ESP / traction control?

    Also, has any of the following occurred:
    * windshield replacement?
    * removal of radar sensor connectors?
    * mis-alignment of radar sensor?

    I appreciate the help! I'm going to try and scan this weekend as my buddy has the cable.
    No replacement, no sensor issues.

    I've never touched anything around the sensor.

    Was the deactivation of the ACC & brake guard tied to any specific event or moment?
    Again, just trying to gain, if any, details on when the ACC & brake guard were lost and see if there's any correlation.

    Yeah I'm just as confused man. One day I turned on my car and it started happening.
    Now every time I turn my car on and start driving the brake guard off message comes on. And if I try to turn on cruise control, the error message comes on.

    I have a radar detector. Passport 9500. Would that have anything to do with the sensor?
    I have it powered into the fuse box.

    was there a resolution ? I am having the same issue in 2018 RS3--
    I had moved sensor to install new IC. Worked fine for a month, then came up while driving, cut in , cut out- and then , it will not come back up.
